This is so great.

Rossi is great at Sepang, Phillip Island, Motegi.

Aragon and Valencia are his only weaknesses in the upcoming races.

Methinks this fight will go down to Valencia

If Valencia ends up being title deciding venue, where Rossi needs to finish ahead of Lorenzo in order to win the title, then the odds won't favor Rossi.

Lorenzo is king at Valencia and Rossi historically has had bad luck there. In order to win the title Rossi, needs to go into Valencia with a sizable lead or with a lead greater than 25 points.

Lorenzo has raced 7 times in the MotoGP class. He has won twice and been unclassified twice, King, I am not so sure. In the same period excluding the Ducati years Rossi was 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 2nd.

Thanks for the details. Still think Lorenzo possesses the edge over Rossi at Valencia. Especially this is the scene where Rossi lost his '06 title to Hayden.

Still think it'll be all done at the penultimate round in Sepang. For the title decider to be at Valencia especially in a situation where Rossi has to finish ahead of Lorenzo to win the title, it'd require a lot of results to go in Lorenzo's way and against Rossi. He has recovered 29 pts in 4 races earlier in the season so it can be done but the circumstances are different, with every passing race there is lesser chance to make up the points. Point I'm trying to make is, Lorenzo is under massive pressure to recoup those points and he has to beat Rossi in pretty much every race from here on that includes beating him at Phillip Island and Sepang which are one of his most successful tracks. Sustaining such pressure with championship at stake, unpredictable weather and different tyre allocations will require a lot of mental resolve and it's up to Lorenzo to either find it or crack.

...and the impressive recall of them are fine to a point, this year though, and in particular the last two races, blight them with so many variables.
I expect this to continue. I HOPE Marquez to be in with a (albeit slim), chance and WANT Lorenzo be right in there and would LOVE to see Rossi take his tenth come Valencia-especially as I'm going! However....
Shaping up to be a classic season because of one overriding reason-what the hell's going on!!?!

..I misread your post?

If VR goes to Valencia with a lead greater than 25 points

He doesn't need to, err, go...?

Petrucci
How the heck has he gotten himself all the way up there? Good season!
