2020 Teruel World Superbike FP1 Result: Rinaldi Leads By One Thousandth

With the tightest possible result at the top, Michael Ruben Rinaldi held off Jonathan Rea. Alex Lowes was half a second off the pace and while lap times were unsurprisingly quicker, top speeds were down on last weekend's first session.

2020 Aragon World Superbike Race Two Result: Gloves Off For Seventh Place

The last race of the first weekend at Motorland Aragon started without Tati Mercado after his getting caught up in another rider's accident in race one. After this morning's long Superpole race, Alvaro Bautista lined up with a Pirelli SCX tyre in the hopes that it would allow him to change his fortunes.

2020 Aragon World Supersport Race One Result: Can The Streak Continue?

With Andrea Locatelli having won all five races from pole position this year, setting the fastest lap on his way to the championship lead over Jules Cluzel. Would this be the weekend where Locatelli's streak comes to an end? Fifteen laps around the first of four World Supersport races at Motorland Aragon would determine if it would be the case.

2020 Aragon World Superbike Race One Result: Windy And Fast

The first of six races at Motorland Aragon was eighteen laps around a windy circuit at 22ºC. The track is well known for a photogenic historical wall, a corkscrew-alike sequence and its long back straight leading to slipstreaming and positions determined into the last series of left-handers onto the start/finish straight. The Ducatis and Hondas have the best speeds down the long straight, with the lightweight Alvaro Bautista setting the fastest speed of 322kph in practice and qualifying. Eugene Laverty crashed on the sighting lap, before arriving at the grid, but his bike was ruled safe to start, prior to the formation lap.

2020 Aragon World Superbike FP2 Result: Rea And Lowes Top

With many riders unable to improve on their morning's times, Jonathan Rea was the quickest in the session, ahead of his teammate Alex Lowes who crashed out of a fast lap twelve minutes from the end of the session. Scott Redding put in a last ditch effort to climb from the middle of the pack to third quickest as the chequered flag was being readied, but Chaz Davies ended the day quickest, with his morning's time being the quickest of the day.

2020 Aragon World Supersport FP1 Result: Locatelli Quickest By Far

Andrea Locatelli continues his dominance of the category with a laptime over half a second quicker than his rivals. He set the quickest lap seven minutes in and chipped away at his best time, increasing his best pace three times. The Yamahas of Hannes Soomer, Isaac Viñales and Jules Cluzel were the only riders within a second of Locatelli's quickest time.

2020 Aragon World Superbike FP1 Result: Davies And Rinaldi Stretch Ducati Legs

On a track that rewards outright speed, the Ducatis of Chaz Davies and Michael Ruben Rinaldi held off Jonathan Rea's Kawasaki, but it was fourth quickest Alvaro Bautista who was fastest through the speed trap on the new Honda Fireblade, tripping the beam at 321.4kph (200mph) down the long straight. Tom Sykes, fresh from having his BMW contract renewed, was fifth quickest.
