The final practice session saw the premier class flexing their race pace muscles and many came prepared for battle. Maverick Vinales robbed Takaaki Nakagami of top spot by over a tenth of a second on his final flying lap and while both men demonstrated solid pace, it was the Japanese rider who seemed one step ahead of the competition. Joan Mir held the lead early in the session before dropping to third, four tenths off the fastest time but with fine pace of his own and minuscule gaps in the rest of the top ten behind him.
Pol and Aleix Espargaro also showed their speed inside the top five, ahead of Franco Morbidelli and Jack Miller finally adding a Ducati to the top ten mix. While most riders had settled on the medium front-soft rear tyre combination, Alex Rins committed to the soft-soft option and showed decent pace on it, finishing eighth in the session. Cal Crutchlow and Miguel Oliveira rounded out the top ten, while Alex Marquez in 11th was the only rider tempted by the hard front in the closing stages on FP4, on which he posted times similar to his pace on the medium. Fabio Quartararo ended the session 12th, eight tenths off the lead but with similar pace to the leaders, in the high 1:48s but consistently a couple of tenths slower than Nakagami.
Meanwhile, Andrea Dovizioso struggled to even break into the 1:48s and ended FP4 down in 17th position.
