The final practice session for the premier class was a fairly predictable affair that saw Fabio Quartararo lead the way on both top times and consistency. The Frenchman was eighth thousandths of a second faster than Pol Espargaro and the duo were nearly half a second ahead of the opposition and with pace destined for the podium at the very least. Franco Morbidelli was best of the rest but made his first mistake of the weekend only ten minutes into the session, when he slid off at turn 11. It was only a minor hiccup and the Italian brushed himself off and was right back on the pace.
Alex Rins looked like he put his injury behind him and found the way up the timesheets, fourth at the end of FP4, two tenths of a second faster than Valentino Rossi. Andrea Dovizioso progressed into sixth, while Joan Mir in seventh position was the last rider to post a time within a second of Quartararo. Aleix Espargaro, Brad Binder and Takaaki Nakagami rounded out the top ten, leaving Maverick Vinales in a more unusual 13th place.
