Qatar Moto2 Test Sunday Times: Navarro Leaves Qatar Test As Fastest

Jorge Navarro takes a confidence boost into the first race of the 2020 Moto2 season, as the Speed Up rider finished the final test of the preseason on top of the timesheets. The Spaniard was just over a tenth of a second faster than Remy Gardner on the final day of the test, and three tenths faster than his teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Jorge Martin finishes the test as second fastest overall, the Red Bull Ajo rider setting his fastest time on Saturday. Gardner's time is good enough to make him third fastest overall, though the SAG Team rider's time on Sunday was a few hundredths slower than Martin's time from Saturday.

Marcel Schrotter and Enea Bastiannini were fourth and fifth fastest on Sunday, and fifth and sixth fastest overall, while Aspar rookie Aron Canet leaves the Moto2 test in an impressive seventh overall, just over half a second back from Navarro.

The Moto2 riders now get a few days off before reassembling on Thursday to prepare for next weekend's season opener at the Losail International Circuit.

What's up with Jake Dixon? Is he still injured? With Moto2 being the main event now next weekend, I was hoping to have someone to cheer on, but it doesn't look like he'll be troubling the leaders at the moment!
