Tony Arbolino has ended the first day of the Moto3 test at Jerez on top of the timesheets. The Snipers Team rider put his Honda - an almost completely new bike, with basically the same geometry and weight distribution - to the top of the timesheets and under the pole record at Jerez.
Spanish youngster Sergio Garcia ended the day as second fastest, a fraction slower than Arbolino, but the Estrella Galicia 0,0 rider was consistently quick, topping the two earlier sessions on Wednesday. Gabriel Rodrigo finished third fastest over all, while Lorenzo Dalla Porta was fourth, a quarter of a second behind Arbolino. Jauma Masia was the first KTM, finishing a third of a second behind Arbolino in fifth.
Combined times from each session, and times for each separate session during the day.

Wow, I missed the story that Fenati would be back in GP
Amazing that despite the swift condemnation by the whole paddock after his 2018 brake grabbing attack where he lost his ride and future contracts, David was the one to agree with the reaction but also to submit for consideration that Fenati is still young and could possibly return someday after having grown as a person. I'm a bit shocked that the very same team, Marinelli Snipers, was the one to invite him back albeit to their Moto3 squad. I guess all can be forgiven when the talent level is high and there are sponsors to be had.
