Randy Krummenacher leads the way after the first day of the final test for the World Supersport class before the season kicks off next weekend. The Bardahl Yamaha rider put in a late charge to edge past his teammate Federico Caricasulo at the end of the day. Jules Cluzel made it three Yamahas in a row at the top of the timesheets.
Lucas Mahias, now riding a Puccetti Kawasaki, was fourth fastest after the first day, four tenths slower than Krummenacher, and just ahead of Raffaele De Rosa on the MV Agusta F3.
Testing completes on Tuesday, with the race weekend starting on Wednesday.
Times, combined for both sessions, and for each session separately.

Swarming w flies
Following the Supersport/middleweight class is like a bedside vigil.
The only bike out there that isn't a mildew smelling relic is the R6. Pretty good Kawasaki still hanging in there. That Honda is underwhelming. There isn't any Triumph anymore (or Stapleford?), the gem of the lot out of the box that doesn't take to oomph upgrades well (lacking top end at 675, but best handling stock R kit). No Suzuki. No 848s. The MV Augusta is an odd unreliable anomoly, but an appreciated one.
Sad spectacle. Weird times for what should be the best of bikes. Liter bikes are way too much now. The 750s are GONE. These should be nimble 140hp beauties in demand w/o electronic aids.
If Triumph puts out the 765 Daytona R it will be a miracle. This R6 is a goodie. The rest is swarming with flies.
Maria Herrera
Nice to see that Maria Herrera is cutting the gap to the top considerably. The previous test she was some 4-5 seconds behind, I believe. Now 3,0 seconds in the first session and 2,4 in the second session. That is pretty fast already in this company and getting near the serious zone. I'l be keeping an eye on her, which is both interesting and pleasant.
