2018 Jerez WorldSBK Test Monday 3pm Times: Rea Fastest As Bautista Makes WorldSBK Debut

Another day, another test at the Jerez circuit, this time with the WorldSBK riders. The Yamahas, Kawasakis, and Ducatis are at Jerez on their second test of the season, after kicking off at Aragon. It was another late start due to overnight rain, but the weather has been significantly better over the course of the day, and the track has been busy since it dried out enough to get some use.

At 3pm, once the riders had been riding for a few hours, it was Jonathan Rea who was fastest, very much as you might expect. Alex Lowes was second quickest on the Pata Yamaha, while Chaz Davies was third fastest on the Ducati Panigale V4R, nine tenths off the time of Rea. Alvaro Bautista has made a strong debut in WorldSBK, posting comparable times to Davies, just a hundredth of a second off at 3pm.

The test will continue until 6pm, and then again on Tuesday.
