2018 Sepang MotoGP Test Sunday 5pm Times: Rossi On Top As Track Stays Dry

Valentino Rossi heads the timesheets at 5pm at Sepang, the sun still shining and the riders taking full advantage of the dry weather. Rossi is three tenths quicker than Dani Pedrosa, while Andrea Dovizioso is a fraction behind in third.

The day has been relatively incident free so far. Cal Crutchlow and Alvaro Bautista both crashed, though both apparently without injury. Andrea Iannone's Suzuki packed up halfway round the track, leaving him standing. With the last hour of the test approaching, a few riders could attack Rossi's fastest time at the end of the day.

Go Valentino, Old blokes rule!

The two Yamaha test riders are Kohta Nozane & Katsuyuki Nakasuga. KiwiMotoGpfan I guess Nakasuga san is number 1 by seniority, that makes Nozane number 2, I guess. Good to see seven Yammies on track. 9 ducks, six Hondas, three Suzukis, 3 KTMs, only two Aprilias. Thirty bikes in the MotoGp class yipee !

Testing will always be testing and any attempt to produce the years championship on it is a fruitless venture.

That being said this one is the most confusing of them all. Valentino on top with Rabat flying, Nakagami gelling with the bike faster than Morbidelli and Pedrosa half a second up from Marquez

I am sure there are plaussible explanations like timing, testing, weather and rider approach but it is still nice to see an occasioal reshuffling.
