2017 Brno MotoGP 12pm Test Times: Viñales Fastest At Lunchtime

The majority of the MotoGP paddock is back in action on Monday morning, with all of the teams bar the satellite Ducatis (Pramac, Avintia, Aspar) taking to the track for the post-race test. They have a lot of things to be testing: Yamaha have a new aerodynamic package, Maverick Viñales has a frame to test, Andrea Dovizioso is trialling the aerodynamic package raced by Jorge Lorenzo, Sam Lowes has a new fairing on the Aprilia, and Michelin has a two front tire constructions and a rear tire they want the riders to test.

Shortly after lunchtime, Maverick Viñales was fastest, a fraction quicker than Cal Crutchlow, and nearly half a second faster than yesterday's race winner, Marc Marquez. With blue skies overhead and good conditions expected, testing is likely to last all day.

I can understand LCR's Crutchlow being there because he's HRC's test mule.

What I don't get is Tech3's participation - what exactly are they testing?

Tech 3 has the only other Yamahas in the field, so they provide a benchmark of sorts for the factory team.  Plus I think I read that David is saying "Michelin has a two front tire constructions and a rear tire they want the riders to test."
By the way, it is tyre, from the name of the ancient Phoenician city
