2017 Chang Thailand World Superbike FP2 Results: Rea Leads Sykes To Superpole

Once again, Jonathan Rea was quickest overall with only his Kawasaki teammate Tom Sykes within a quarter of a second of him. Ducati's Chaz Davies was third quickest but was unable to beat Marco Melandri's morning time, ending up qualifying for Superpole in fourth place behind his teammate. Alex Lowes and Xavi Fores continue their strong pace, improving on their morning's times, rounding out the provisional second row.

I was hoping to see Bradl and Hayden fighting for the front row, not left behind in Superpole One.  Honda is having a tough year in motorsport this year (WSBK/F1), with only MotoGP to bouy them. Come on Honda, get it together!

From what I heard at P. I. the new Blade arrived late, much later than the team had been hoping. So now they are behind schedule & chasing their tails. the green team and red teams have done their homework & are up to speed. as we expect.

I would say Honda & HRC have let the team down badly. It is very hard to improve competitiveness while in Thailand. Once they return to Europe there will be some hope of improvement, perhaps by the 2nd half of this season the smolderBlade will be a bit closer to the front. Bad luck for Nicky Hayden, I would love to see N.H.69 do well, maybe next year.

The weather hampered Honda's ability to deliver the Fireblade on time. It's hard to argue with the weather.
