2017 Sepang MotoGP Test Wednesday 12:30 Times: Marquez Leads Close Field

The weather gods have looked favorably upon MotoGP testing at Sepang. With no rain overnight and cool temperatures, conditions are just about perfect for testing on Wednesday, and the teams are making full use of the opportunity to test. Marc Marquez currently leads the field, though he has only the narrowest of margins over Maverick Viñales. Four Ducatis follow, Andrea Dovizioso leading Alvaro Bautista, Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo. Lorenzo is only a quarter of a second off the time of Marquez, suggesting he is starting to get to grips with the Ducati.

The factories are starting to work through their testing programs, as new parts are starting to appear. Andrea Dovizioso is taking the updated 2017 Ducati - with the black box under the tail - out for a serious run, and where the Yamahas were trying to keep their aerodynamic fairings under wraps as much as possible yesterday, today the bikes stand openly in pit lane for all to see.

So far, the weather is holding, and testing is continuing. The riders will keep going for as long as possible, to make maximum use of the testing time available.

This article is the best part of my day so far . Good to see Marc Marquez again, some hope for the red team. I love seeing C.S. 27 ahead of J.L.99, V.R.46, D.P. 26 etc. etc. Keep up the great work David.
