2016 Le Mans Moto3 FP1 Result: Binder Takes Charge

Brad Binder has topped the timesheets after the first day of practice at Le Mans. The Red Bull Ajo KTM rider made solid strides in the second session of free practice, his speed increasing all the way to the end of the session. In the final minutes, Binder put in a scorching lap to take the top spot.

Romano Fenati had a good day on the Sky VR46 KTM, falling just short of Binder's time to take second place, and bumping Frenchman Jules Danilo off top spot in the last minute of FP2. Danilo had set a very fast time, but it had come from a tow from Andrea Locatelli. Fastest man in the morning Jorge Navarro fell to fourth spot, though less than two tenths behind Binder, and Nicolo Bulega took fifth.

Send him through the ranks; it would be a shame to see what's happening to Miller happen to Binder

What is happening to Miller is a Honda.
I thought about that specifically. I think it can be done.

I don't disagree with you there, but I do think there is something to be said for spending a season getting accustomed to a heavier bike before making the leap
