2015 Misano MotoGP FP3 Result: Lorenzo Keeps Getting Quicker Ahead of Marquez

Jorge Lorenzo once again set a new qualifying record lap, two tenths quicker than Marc marquez, only without the wings seen yesterday on his Yamaha M1. Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso and Dani Pedrosa were the only other riders within seven tenths of Lorenzo's quick time.

It seems JLo was out on red-banded tires when he did his quickest laps at the very end of the session, whereas I noticed a lot of the other top few didn't seem to be.

Was I seeing things and are the red-banded tires the softer of the options for the factory bikes?

The red-banded tyres are those with the hard compound, whereas the softer option for factory-spec bikes are the medium compound tyres with no band on the side.
