Jack Miller survived another end-of-race scrum to win the Le Mans grand Prix Sunday by nine-hundredths of a second. Alex Rins, who held a commanding lead in the race at one point took second with Isaac Vinales in third, another two-tenths back.
For Vinales, it marks his first podium. For Miller, it marks a return to the form that saw him win the first two races of the season. With three wins in five races, Miller (104 pts) now holds a full race lead in the championship over Romano Fenati (74 pts.) who had to retire from the race with mechanical problems.
Fenati's teammate, Francesco Bagnaia -- also a member of Valentino Rossi's SKY Racing Team VR46 -- grabbed fourth. Alex Marquez -- younger brother to MotoGP's Marc -- held on for fifth. Efren Vazquez, fast in nearly every practice and who had a shot at the win, finished sixth nearly a second back.
Enea Bastianini took seventh with John McPhee finishing eighth after qualifying in the same slot. Alex Masbou climbed back into the top 10 for the first time in three races with a ninth. Jakub Kornfeil rounded out the to ten.
