Summary and results of Moto2 qualifying:
Pol Espargaro has taken an ominously dominant pole position during the stiflingly hot Moto2 qualifying session. The Spaniard finished six tenths of a second ahead of main world title rival Scott Redding. Espargaro's teammate Esteve Rabat finished in third place, snatching the final place on the front row of the grid. Takaaki Nakagami will head up row two, a miniscule two hundredths behind Rabat, he will be joined by Alex DeAngelis and Johan Zarco. DeAngelis' qualifying efforts suffered an early setback after a crash at turn ten, the rider from San Marino managed to pull himself together and recover well.
Jordi Torres, Randy Krummenacher, Sandro Cortese and Thomas Luthi complete the top ten standings. Luthi in particular will be disappointed with his efforts after setting the pace in FP3 and being extremely fast for the majority of the weekend. Keep an eye out for the Interwetten Suter rider to pick his way through the field during the race.
The session also saw fairly severe crashes for Alberto Moncayo and Ratthapark Wilairot, luckily both riders were ok.

Comments
Scott..
It's Pols home track, so it's to be expected.
If Redding really has matured and really is in the title hunt, then he won't fall off trying to stay with Pol, but will get some good points and continue to lead the championship.
Come on Scott, keep it rubber side down :O)
Glad
to see Alex finally up there !
