2009 Jerez 250cc FP2 Results - Simoncelli Makes A Triumphant Comeback

After a difficult day yesterday, Marco Simoncelli ended the second session of free practice for the 250 class with the fastest time. The Italian had started the day in terrible shape, well out of the top 10, but after the halfway mark, Simoncelli found something which catapulted him to the top of the timesheets. Hiroshi Aoyama continues to impress on the Scot Honda, leading for much of the session, ending practice with the 2nd fastest time. After dominating yesterday, Alvaro Bautista finished third. However, it all means very little, as the grid will be settled in qualifying practice this afternoon.
