News reached us that Kiefer Racing team boss Stefan Kiefer died in his sleep on Thursday night in Malaysia. As a result of his death, the Kiefer Racing team have decided to withdraw from the Sepang round of Moto2 this weekend. Neither Dominique Aegerter nor Tarran Mackenzie will race in Malaysia.

KIEFER RACING MOURNS FOR THE LOSS OF STEFAN KIEFER
Team manager and joint owner of the German World Championship team, Stefan Kiefer, passed away unsuspectedly during the night from Thursday to Friday.
Stefan Kiefer and the entire Kiefer Racing Team are staying in Malaysia at the moment, where the penultimate round of the season takes place this weekend. The circumstances, which lead to the tragic incident remain unclear for the moment. With respect to the whole family and all other relatives, Kiefer Racing will not take part at Malaysian Grand Prix.
Stefan Kiefer himself was an active rider and after finishing his career, he founded the team together with his brother Jochen. Since 2003 Kiefer Racing is an integral part of the FIM Motorcycle World Championship. Stefan Kiefer was highly admired all over the paddock for his always friendly and heartfelt personality and therefore, will be sorely missed.
Stefan Kiefer leaves his girlfriend and one son behind. The entire Kiefer Racing Team wants to express their sincere condolence to his family.
