The Sky VR46 team have announced that they have signed Nicolo Bulega to a further two years. The Italian youngster is stay with the team for 2017 and 2018, spending 2017 racing in Moto3, with the possibility to move up to Moto2 with the team in 2018. The press release issued by the team is below:
NICOLÒ BULEGA SIGNS A TWO-YEAR CONTRACT WITH THE SKY RACING TEAM VR46
Milan, June 23rd 2016 - Nicolò Bulega will race for the Sky Racing Team VR46 also in 2017 and 2018. After only 7 GPs Sky and VR46 announce that the young Italian talent will be part of the Sky Racing Team VR46 for the next two years. The decision comes after the important results that Nicolò achieved in the first half part of the 2016 Championship as the pole position and the second place at the Spanish GP at Jerez de la Frontera.
Bulega will continue his growth in the team founded in 2014 to support the talented young Italian riders. "It is definitely a very important step of my young career – says Nicolò – This is an important confirmation that comes from a team that has believed in me since the beginning. I'm part of a great family that supports me in this incredible adventure in the Moto3. They are always focused on the teamwork and I'm proud of this first goal, but it will be important to keep concentrated for achieving the best in every GP from here till the end of the season".
