STEFAN BRADL TO RIDE AN APRILIA RS-GP ALONGSIDE ALVARO BAUTISTA

Noale, 1 August 2015 - Twenty-five year old German rider Stefan Bradl, 2011 Moto2 World Champion, will take part in the remaining nine 2015 MotoGP World Championship races astride the second Aprilia Racing Team Gresini Aprilia RS-GP alongside Alvaro Bautista.

Bradl will make his first appearance on the Aprilia RS-GP at the Indianapolis Grand Prix scheduled from 7 to 9 August.

Born in the Bavarian city of Augusta on 29 November 1989, Stefan Bradl made his debut in World Championship Motorycle racing in the 125cc category in 2005. In 2008 he took two wins and finished the season fourth in the overall standings. In 2010 he moved to Moto2, a category where he would be crowned World Champion the following year thanks to four wins. His rookie year in MotoGP came in 2012 astride a Honda, a bike that Bradl raced for another two seasons, taking a second place finish in the 2013 United States Grand Prix as his best result. This season Bradl has participated in the first eight Grand Prix races on the calendar astride the Forward Racing team Open class Yamaha, earning nine points. A fractured scaphoid in his right wrist suffered during the Dutch GP at Assen forced him to miss his home race at Sachsenring on 12 July.

Change in fortunes for both parties! Stefan gets a ride and Aprilia get a capable rider! They could run tho lineup for a while if need be.
Got my first paddock pass ever for Indy, can't wait!

R6 will you he there for Thurs set up day? If so make a point of visiting the garages. Some of them (esp Ducati) will let you get in and around more that day, and the teams and gear is coming in and out so you can sit and talk w folks. That was my most fun day of the race wknd when I went. Literally Ducati had the garage open, cured meats (hams?) and cheeses, red and white wine, bikes and riders there to be with. It was a joy. In the bathroom I took a pee standing between Suppo and another team member as they chatted about the track conditions casually while peeing. Chatted with TONS of riders and crew.

Earlier the better. Friday it all changes. Be sure to chat w Edwards, he is a hoot.
Enjoy and tell us about it!

Thank you so much for this!!! Didn't even realize I could go on Thursday! Ungh, might be tough tho, I'm flying in on Thursday around noon, but now I'm thinking I'll just go straight to the track!
I really appreciate this, have no idea what to expect from the paddock pass, I'll try to get lots of pictures and bump some elbows!

you love the four strokes so much motoshrink, while peeing they have learned you how to check your oil level or even how to replace it ;-)
Enjoy R6, I hope you have a real nice time there!!
Ring-a-ding-ding greeting from the Netherlands.

(This article is old enough that it is just us in here so I will go against good judgement and wise conduct...)

I have never been to the Netherlands, there may be some cultural differences. There was no stroking of any kind taught in the bathroom by Suppo, even on Thursday. Perhaps if Alberto Puig was there?
