Alstare Ducati Unveil 2013 WSBK Livery And Sponsors

The Alstare Ducati team have today unveiled their official livery for the 2013 season, and as expected with a team that is so heavily backed by the factory, the predominant color is red. Though the Alstare effort goes without a title sponsor, four sponsors feature prominently. Energy T.I. is an Italian gas and electricity company aimed at the retail market, and also backs Andrea Iannone's half of the Pramac garage in MotoGP. Italian telecoms company TIM have defected from Ducati's MotoGP effort to join the Alstare WSBK team, while battery maker FIAMM also features heavily. Almost inevitably, the team also has an energy drink sponsor: on the Alstare bike, it is FICC, a newcomer to the market who backed Davide Giugliano last year, and which is associated with Flavio Briatore, the former Renault F1 boss.

Thursday 7th February 2013:

In anticipation of the first round of the 2013 World Superbike season, scheduled for Sunday 24 February at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, Team SBK Ducati Alstare presents the livery of the new 1199 Panigale R, the bike with which the team’s two official riders, Carlos Checa and Ayrton Badovini, will take to the track as they compete for the prestigious world title.

The new colour scheme that characterises Team SBK Ducati Alstare is mainly red, a testimony to the countless chapters that the Italian motorcycle manufacturer’s red machines have contributed to the Superbike championship’s history. The graphics of the bike have been designed and created by Alstare in collaboration with Ducati.

The new livery includes a prestigious list of sponsors that have chosen to link their brand to that of Team SBK Ducati Alstare, its two riders and the new Ducati 1199 Panigale R. Four of the partners are particularly important and will occupy significant space on the fairing of the bikes and on the riders’ leathers, namely: Energy Trading International, FIAMM Group, FICC e TIM.

In alphabetical order, the first of Team SBK Ducati Alstare’s sponsors is Energy Trading International (ENERGY T.I.) that, since 2008, has been active in the supply, shipping and sale of natural gas to businesses, private users and local distributors. Energy TI offers efficient solutions to the needs of any gas user and provides a high quality service combining safety, economic saving, innovation and competitiveness together with respect for the environment and the community. Thanks to the professionalism of its staff and its consolidated experience in the energy sector, the volumes of traded gas and the sales.figures of Energy TI are constantly increasing. In the near future Energy TI aims at not only improving its sales network, but also developing the power business and entering the renewable ("green") energy market.

Born from the all-Italian passion of the Dolcetta family and raised with real values such as integrity, quality, respect for people and the environment, the FIAMM Group produces starter batteries for bikes, cars and industrial use (uninterruptible power supplies and energy reserves) and horns, and today has factories and offices all over the world. The FIAMM Group consolidates its strong links to the racing world with the Ducati Alstare sponsorship agreement for the 2013 and 2014 championship. Experience, in-depth knowledge of the product and the ability to speak to the customer are the indisputable prerogatives of the company. Invention, passion, talent and precision are the strengths of its highly qualified staff. The energy of a healthy Italy. The same one that gave life to a sound and competitive industrial base with a global distribution and commercial network. A world leader in the market of horns, with a significant position in all the other sectors in which it operates. Made in Italy for the world; this is Fiamm. It is present in sixty countries, with about seventy percent of its sales overseas. In order to remain close to its clients’ needs, FIAMM has ten production plants across the globe and more than twenty commercial and technical branches, as well as a wide network of importers and distributors.

FICC is a new Energy Drink that - thanks to its unique taste - helps you enjoy every single moment of the day, 100%! What makes FICC so special is Schisandra Chinesis, a climbing plant from China known since ancient times for its aphrodisiac and antioxidant qualities together with the capability to increase our body’s endurance and immune system. It can also improve our physical and mental performance and help reduce stress: a real Elixir of Long Life! FICC has two different looks: the Classic - a white can with a modern, linear design and a fresh, natural image - and the Billionaire, with its gold can, a glamorous look with very elegant packaging. The Billionaire, by Flavio Briatore, is accompanied by a line of products specially created for table service at bars and clubs that want to make a difference by using top quality products. Already present on the German, Austrian and Swiss markets, FICC has now started an ambitious programme of commercial development on the global market.

Telecom Italia is the main ICT group in Italy and has a significant presence in Latin America. It is a major player thanks to TIM Brazil and through the Telecom Argentina group it operates in Argentina and Paraguay in fixed, mobile and internet communications. Its portfolio, integrated and centred on advanced solutions for consumers, businesses and institutions, spans fixed and mobile telecommunications, digital content, cloud computing, media, office and system solutions. Being close to customers and technological innovation are the hallmarks of the Group, characterised by a streamlined organization that focuses on the quality of service and continuous research activity.

“I can only be pleased and optimistic with a team like this, and a bike of this level, with our two riders and a team of friends and sponsors that will support us throughout this demanding season – commented Francis Batta’, owner of Team SBK Ducati Alstare. “The challenge that awaits us is not an easy one but thanks to our partners and the trust Ducati puts in us we will find the strength and the incentive to tackle the new season. I thank everyone who believes in us; we will do all we can to repay such passion and respect.”

Say what you want about Ducati in GP... but, they sure know how to build a damn fine looking bike. That thing is mean looking. Kinda like if Cindy Crawford qualified to be a Navy Seal

That bike looks pretty good! But those Italian companies have uninspiring names these days... TIM, FIAMM, FICC, Energy T.I.? That does not have a lot of Italian flair, does it. What a waste, with such a stylish sounding language.

Bricktop - I think it will all depend on the tires.

IMO the "frameless" design works/worked, all they way up until the point Bridgestone had to provide tires to everyone else.

That is a sweet looking bike. I agree aside from GP the can build really nice road bikes

Let's hope that Checa can give them some winning ways.

WSB and MGP need this manufacturer. It's good to see Alstare back in a lead role too.

The sponsors probably sound better than they look in text - that's the key to the language! FIAMM is an iconic brand - you cannot get much more Italian than an airhorn designed to clear the 'fast' lane!
