With launch season in full swing, the next team to kick off their 2013 campaign was the CAME IODA Racing project. The team, run by former Aprilia supremo Giampiero Sacchi, will field two riders in MotoGP and one in Moto2. In the premier class, Danilo Petrucci returns to the team once again for his second year. He will be joined by former 250cc man Lukas Pesek, the Czech rider having found the prerequisite funds to secure a slot alongside Petrucci. Frenchman Johann Zarco will contest the Moto2 season for the team. All three riders will be using Suter chassis, Petrucci and Pesek on Suter BMW machines, using the spec Magneti Marelli electronics, while Zarco has the championship-winning Suter Moto2 chassis used by Marc Marquez in 2012.

CAME IODARACING TEAM TAKES ITS COVER OFF ITS 2013 MOTOGP CHALLENGE
CAME and IODARACING PROJECT unveiled their team to take part to the MOTO 2 and MOTOGP classes of the 2013 World Championship at their factory in Dosson di Casier on Wednesday 30th January. .
The partnership between the company based in Veneto, a leader in automation systems and access controls, and the factory in Terni continues in the best possible way. Both enterprises will face together the most important motorcycling world championship. A Made-in-Italy challenge.
Big news in the CAME IODARACING MOTOGP team where Czech rider Lukas Pesek will debut in the higher class at the side of the most strengthen Danilo Petrucci, riding the IODA-SUTER BMW. Lukas Pesek is at his first year in MOTOGP but has an outstanding past in 125 and 250 cc.
New riders and new bikes in MOTO 2 too. French rider Joahnn Zarco will be the new bearer of the Italian team, which will race a world champion bike, the Suter which was the one of World Champion Mark Màrquez.
Petrucci and Pesek will take part to both the official MOTOGP training sessions in Sepang, and to the special Magneti Marelli ECU testing sessions to take place in Malaysia from the 3rd to the 7th of February, while Zarco will initiate his new adventure with Ioda in Valencia, from the 12 to the 14 of February and in Jerez, from the 19 to the 21st of February. Both teams will take part to the official IRTA testing sessions to be held in Jerez in March.

I have had the chance to confirm the proven skills of their technicians already in Valencia during the testing sessions right after the last race. I have been to Terni a few weeks ago and have visited their impressive race department and realized that everybody at Iodaracing works with total commitment to racing. I don’t deny that our main goal for this season is to fight for the top positions and for me to do my very best at all occasions. We will soon face the official tests where I will work hard to find a good feeling with my new Suter.
