This is about the comment on Jack Miller's Ducati staying low out of corners. Wouldn't that be considered "active suspension" and isn't that not allowed in MotoGP?

Just wondering.

Electronic control systems are banned, but not mechanical ones (not sure about hydraulic control). That's how Suzuki are able to have VVT, it is completely mechanically controlled with no input from the ECU. Ducati may have found a way to pull the rear suspension down without the riders input but without needing to utilise an ECU.

I may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but the rules forbid electronic control of the suspension. If Ducati have managed to do this using a purely mechanical system that would be allowed

David, it would be very interesting to hear what Öhlins (can) say about how they work together with the manufacturers when things like the holeshot devices are being developed. Ultimately we would like to know if it is developed inside the rear damper with the help of them, or if the function is placed on the outside. Thanks in advance! (Try giving Alatalo some schnaps and maybe he will talk ;)

Super disappointed in a number of 2020 livery changes. KTM Factory managed to go MORE black...nearly everything black on it should be orange. Tech3 simply copies Suzuki, plus an orange stripe. We don't need 2 of those. The Avintia went more blue vs white, ok, then made the salad box optic glow yellow. Perhaps good for a visual approaching Rabat from the rear at high closing speeds? Ick.

Still mostly black Yamaha Factory and Petronas, a shame. Aprilia should be the only black livery out there. Looking fwd to seeing the new Aprilia.

Two thumbs up on Suzuki though! Lovely and bold. My favorite since Rizla light blue.

Orange and Black look to be closing the gap to Suzuki and Ducati. Can't quite tell what the Duc is about to do w the new rear tire, anticipating an early adaptation delay followed by a step forward. Honda just took a step backwards w the new tire pushing the already sketchy front even worse all the way to the apex. For 3 seasons it has looked like the Ducati or the Suzuki were the best overall bike package. Yamaha has emerged and nust now may be arriving as top bike. Suzuki surging with them. Honda? Getting caught for 4th. Factor out the Marc, and their bike is really horrible outside the outright power.

New tires brings a shift in 2020 Title expectations:
1) Marquez
2) Quartararo
3) Vinales
4) Dovi or Rins
5) Rins or Dovi

Note re the great pictures, thanks. Dani is worth Petrucci's weight in gold. I wonder if he will retain his Japanese helmet insignia long as a Spaniard in a European team. He and the KTM look really good.
