Here At Last: A Handful Of Repsol Honda Livery Photos

Here at last, after the delay caused by Jorge Lorenzo breaking his scaphoid just before the team launch: The 2019 Repsol Honda MotoGP livery shots

Shot in Spain, the photos used a 2018 model Honda RC213V, as the lack of a carbon cover just behind the headstock betrays

The show bikes also used the cheaper (though this is a relative term) gold-covered aluminum Ohlins forks, rather than the carbon ones being raced

The sign of a successful sponsor partnership is not having to change your livery every year. That's how it reaches iconic status

Seventh year in a row in the Repsol colors for Marc Marquez. Expect other factories to spend the second half of 2019 throwing money at him to try to lure him away

Jorge Lorenzo gambles on another switch. Can he become a member of a very elite group of riders who has won a premier class race on three different makes of MotoGP machine?

I don't know what looks more out of place - Lorenzo in Repsol or Dani missing.

Either way, what strange and exciting times we live in.

I wish Team Repsol would drastically change the color scheme. I mean they can keep the same colors to make it immediately idenifiable, just do something boldly different with it. One person's iconic can be another person's boring.

And the whole Red Bull thing on the lower 1/3 of the rider's helmet...time for a change, please!
