2020 MotoE Calendar Update - Seven Races At Three MotoGP Rounds

After today's announcement of a MotoGP calendar for the remainder of 2020, Dorna and the FIM today also announced a schedule for the MotoE World Cup. The electric bike racing series, which sees a grid full of riders on Energica Ego Corsa machines competing at MotoGP rounds, will compete in seven races at three of the scheduled MotoGP rounds.

The MotoE series kicks off alongside the rest of the MotoGP paddock at Jerez, with races on the Sunday of the first two rounds of the season. They rejoin MotoGP at Misano in September, with one race at the first round in Misano, and two races, on the Saturday and Sunday of the second round. MotoE finishes at Le Mans, with another two races, one on Saturday, one on Sunday.

As with the MotoGP calendar, this schedule is provisional, and dependent on national and local governments allowing events to go ahead.

love the electric  cup. Took the kerker off my gpz550 so I could once again hear the tire chirp as I changed gears in a wheelie. Also not so loud if trying to avoid locals. Heavy?  I grew up watching kz1000s and cbf900s race. Its all relative...

Glad someone loves it. Here, it is a quizzical sort of curious from a distance. Mostly for the future, not so much now. The silent mountain bike/XC motorcycle hybrid for hitting areas off limits to dirt bikes, THAT compels now.

Interest in MotoE sure caught fire arriving on the scene though, eh?

Gpz550, a CLASSIC! Please tell me you run modern tires and sorted the suspension a bit? Notice that the era of bikes just before that are hugely sought after as Cafe customs, yours and a bit after less so and often more stock. Then we have a few more eras less popularly desireable. Many stunted to bits, 2nd gear goes out and they look horrid. The "last of the golden era of middleweights" pre electronics ones may stand the test of time well. Maybe there will be a bunch of naked bikes with Tuono like bars and some crash protection? A few always look better w/o fairings. Helped a friend do one, it came out nice but not my style. I bet the circa 2008 GSXR750 ends up highly desireable for instance. The last 2008 on CBR100RR looks great naked and for customs. The R6 and Kawi 636 will age well.

Your Gpz, they have a raw mean nature I like. Iconic.

gpz #1 as well as #s 2 and 3 are long gone. Along with rd350, s1 250 triple, etc., etc. All crashed to bits. My ambition outweighed my talent. My rides these days are 2007 crf100 and 2000 gp1200r waverunner. Can fly off the waverunner at 70mph, swim back to it, and go again. No emergency medical services needed.
