MotoMatters.com headquarters is a whirlwind of boxes, paint, wallpaper, hoovering and packing tape (duct tape, naturally). Because of the move, there is little or no time to keep our loyal readers up to date with the world of world championship motorcycle racing. Hence the lack of coverage of Ratthapark Wilairot being discharged from hospital; the launch of Paris Hilton's 125cc team with Sergio Gadea and Maverick Vinales; the addition of Bel Ray as a sponsor for the Tech 3 Moto2 team; the lack of a title sponsor for Yamaha's MotoGP team next season; and the chance to score some cool T-shirts from the Fiat Yamaha team on eBay, as part of a charity auction for Riders for Health. We are due to move this week, which means that after the weekend of the New Year, service should slowly start to resume some semblance of normality - though painting and decorating duties remain.
For those with an unquenchable thirst for all and any news about the world of motorcycle racing for the next few days, we would direct you to our friends, colleagues and role models (though not necessarily in that order): GPOne.com, Asphalt & Rubber, Superbikeplanet.com, Bikesportnews.com, MotoWorld, Autosport's MotoGP section, Road Racer X, Motociclismo, Motoblog and Two Wheels Blog. To while away the long journeys no doubt many of you will be making, we can heartily recommend the MotoPOD podcast - in particular the interviews with Ben Spies and Damo Cudlin - and Soupkast, the official podcast of Superbikeplanet.com, especially the interview with Nicky Hayden (mp3 audio file).
Despite the complications of moving, shipments of the MotoMatters.com 2011 Motorcycle Racing calendar continue uninterrupted, as well as the new Japanese tribute MotoMatters.com T-shirt. Those are being shipped out as normal. We'll be back soon!
