Just wondering if anybody managed to catch a snap of Rossi's brake discs glowing (like the formula 1 cars do)? I noticed it on the Motogp feed during practice into Turn 1 (FP1 and FP2). His seemed the only bike to be doing it??? You can check it out at the Motogp feed in FP2 33min into the session.

Sometime along when Jorge moved up into 2nd they pointed out on Eurosport that going into turn 1 I believe his brakes where glowing as well. It probably isn't that uncommon but the shadows and night racing seem to make it more noticeable.

It was either in fp1 or quals on eurosport where they had a shot of Nicky's back brake glowing.

Great pics btw!

There's a brilliant shot of Rossi hot on the brakes with the dics's glowing in the Motomatters.com calendar.
Thats the first time I'd seen it also besides F1.
Ya gotta love it!!

during race coverage. Not surprising really, all MotoGP bikes have carbon breaks at dry races and carbon gets mightily hot. It's rare to see it though and apparently even harder to catch on film.

The night racing is good for the camera as you also see the shift lights on the bikes working in reflecting on the vissors of the riders, Rossi most of all he has a red shift light.

These pictures are great... Thanks! They always make it to my desktop :) Now if they were just a "bit" larger :)

Scott got a fantastic shot of this from 2009, too, a similar shot made it into our MotoMatters.com wall calendar.

I have a prediction.........Rossi wins the championship this year and retires, to make way for the next Champion.........Ben Spies...........Not enough room in the Yamaha Factory bays for Rossi & Spies..........put it in the bank
