Scott Jones and David Emmett Guests On Formula1Blog.com Podcast

For those of you who have ever wondered what the voices sound like behind the website, here's a chance to find out. Both Scott Jones and David Emmett (aka Kropotkin) appeared on the Formula1Blog.com podcast this week, where we had a long and in-depth discussion of all things MotoGP. We thought it was fun to do, and a pretty interesting discussion ensued, about the 2008 season, the 2009 season, and why Carmelo Ezpeleta keeps taking his ideas for new technical regulations from Bernie Ecclestone.

There's also a chance to win 5 MotoGPMatters.com calendars by answering a single - very tricky - question about MotoGP. You can listen to the podcast here.

A month ago, David Emmett was also privileged to be a guest on Soupkast #65 (link to mp3), the podcast produced by Superbikeplanet.com. On that Soupkast, David Emmett discusses matters MotoGP and World Superbike with Dean Adams and Jim McDermott from Superbikeplanet.com. Highly recommended, though more for the comments by Dean and Jim than by David.

In the middle of listening to the podcast right now and it's really interesting, with lot's of keen insights and info from the guests.
David's reference to Sete Gibernau's sponsor being a "rather unpleasant African dictatorship" prompted me to do a quick search online and I found this eye opening analysis of the Onde 2000 Ducati Team sponsorship:

...that is disturbing!

Really antithetical to Gibernau's image (or anyone else on the grid, I suppose).

It was a terrific time for Grace and I. We are indebted to both of you for your time and willingness to talk to a bunch of F1 propeller-heads. Thanks again to both of you.
