Honda back to WSBK

Post by bikermike »

From Crash.net
https://www.crash.net/wsbk/news/909818/ ... superbikes

So they've ditched Ten Kate for Moriwaki
Rider choice seems a bit odd
Isn't Kiyonari getting on a bit? Camier seems sensible though

Very interesting!

Camier is a great rider - very unlucky to miss out on the 8-hour due to injury but I think has done well on poor machinery.

Shame was has happened to Ten Kate, if you think how strong they used to be in WSS. But, hopefully Moriwaki will bring some more factory support.

Good to hear that Honda factory is back to SBK, BMW too.
Suzuki, Aprilia and MV Agusta are still MIA

Wow, Melandri has moved around more than almost anyone;
Honda 125
Aprilia 250
Yamaha MotoGP
Honda MotoGP
Ducati MotoGP
Kawasaki MotoGP
Honda MotoGP
Yamaha WSBK
BMW WSBK
Aprilia WSBK
Aprilia MotoGP
Ducati WSBK
And now back to Yamaha WSBK

Reading the article I am a little confused
Not sure if it’s a works team or not
It appears too mixed up with altea moriwaki and Honda all involved
And then picking kyonari who has always been fast when the bike suits him but average when it doesn’t
And still forming the team so no testing until jan at the earliest
I hope they have something a lot better for next year it’s sad to see Honda struggle in any racing

Hard to say what HRC support the bike is going to get. I'm guessing its more of a Moriwaki Honda than a HRC Honda. Having said that Moriwaki have been developing the bike on their domestic circuit using Pirelli tyres

I'm a little confused about Honda. It seems there will be 3 riders in the same team, 2 of which will be HRC/Moriwaki/Althea and the 3rd one Moriwaki/Althea ie no HRC
