ASBK + MotoAmerica Redux Watching 2019 in 2020

Talk about national motorcycle racing series: AMA, BSB, Australian or Japanese Superbikes, IDM, CIV, CEV, Irish Road Racing, TT, whatever takes your fancy.

ASBK + MotoAmerica Redux Watching 2019 in 2020

Post by Fingernails »

@Mikesbytes has previously mentioned watching ASBK online. I can't find the link for that and now wish to remind myself of anything I remember about the series, because....

@Rick650 mentioned that there's not much racing going on. And I suspect that it's going to become even less.

So, since ASBK is available on Youtube, it's now a good option to watch. This was Mikesbytes idea, but I'm doing a single post to all the races so that anyone who wants to can follow the season through. Apologies if this is already posted elsewhere, I look a look into the ASBK thread and immediately reminded me of something from the series - and I wish to stay maximally forgetful.

I had a look on the BSB channel for support race series, such as Superstock 1000. However, there's only either about 2 minute long highlights, or 14-15minute long onboard highlights. So, not so good.

Round 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74pQsB8sn-I
Round 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7S_SZobG7o
Round 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybrC1jmkWds
Round 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbNdzWZaAIY
(Too many URLs. More coming up next post)

I couldn't find anything beyond round 7, but don't want to look at the Wikipedia page or I'll remind myself who won :)

Thanks Fingernails, there was only 7 rounds in 2019 so you have got them all

2020 has 7 rounds too. The first round is as support races for WSBK in PI and we don't typically see the video on youtube until end of March. Second round is in 10 days time, there should be a video up not to long after that
My signature isn't particularly interesting

I watched the entire season. It was an exciting season and while I though I had spoiled it a bit, I was wrong as to whom I thought would win the championship. There is the NZ Superbike Championship as well, but that is uploaded online in a very odd way - including some videos up to seven hours long.

cool, thanks for posting all the links, will have to take a look at the ASBK. For MotoAmerica while I didn't catch every race, it had lots of good battles last year and some memorably movements as well.

Thanks for posting your MotoAmerica opinions without posting a spoiler!

I thought that ASBK was a great season. Definitely worth watching.
