Suzuka 8-Hour

Postby MiniNinjaMk5 on Mon Jul 21, 2014 10:04 pm

So, the Suzuka 8-hour is coming up this weekend.

I normally go through a song & dance of trying to find some way to watch it, that ends with a link to a tiny internet stream with an advert of a robot and coke can spinning around, and no racing. :D

Does anyone know of any ways of watching it this year?

Sheesh... I've been over these forums looking for any threads on the 8hrs and had given it up for dead.

The top 10 TT was shown live on Saturday via webcast, but the race was limited to TV only. I got it on cable and watched the entire race.

This year was full of drama as usual but it was really sad to see how few were in attendance (spectators). When I went there in 1985 it was like Woodstock.

Yes I should have posted this in the other section of the forum as this part is pretty dead! Suppose Randy De Puniet racing makes it legitimately 'GP'? :)

Watched highlights of the race thanks to a 'file' I was able to get from a certain racing site - if anyone wants this, please let me know and I can email it.

Fun race though, why do you think attendance is going down so much? Is bike racing not the level it once was in Japan (thinking about how there are now virtually no riders at international level, compared to in the 90's when there were loads?)
