Ducati are joining the world endurance championship. I see this as a result of them producing the V4 as the V2 was never suitable for endurance racing

There's a Yamaha team consisting of Morbidelli, Syahrin, Van der Mark

Grid has Morbidelli/Syahrin/Van Der Mark on pole for todays race. A strong team on paper. Looking at the pointy end of the grid there's a lot of names I don't recognise. I'm going to take as a guess that their main rival will be Hook/Foray/Di Meligo but 8 hours is a long time so anything can happen

Sepang is wet race and was delayed for 2 hours before starting. With 2 hours to go the pol setters are missing from the top 10. I don't know what has happened to them https://youtu.be/Pcm4YsoKiA0

So di Meglio took Van der Mark out with both them going down while they were jostling for 1st place. Di Meglio picked up the bike and managed to keep going in 1st place to eventually win, while Van der Mark took the bike to the pitts for repairs loosing 3 laps and completely out of the points but they managed to haul themselves back to finish 7th and 2 laps down with Morbidelli doing the last stint on the bike and the fastest lap in the race
