Suzuki coming back to WorldSBK in 2019 ?

Talk about the World Superbike series run by FGSport. Including World Superbikes, World Supersport, European Superstock, etc.

Suzuki coming back to WorldSBK in 2019 ?

Post by WorldSBK »

Suzuki was supposed to come back in 2018 with Team Grillini but that didn't happen.

Any news for 2019 ?

Nope but it also depends on the level of factory support
My signature isn't particularly interesting

Do we know what they thought of their day out at Suzuka?
Bradley Ray isn't doing too badly in BSB

I'd guess they will be the two big straws in the wind as to how much they can get out of the GSXR

How far ahead does a WSBK campaign need to be plotted?
It's a production race, so you aren't designing a bike from the ground up like MotoGP
But how much do you want to tweak your production bike to make the best base for racing?
How long does it take to put together a good team? (if you poach from BSB etc, I imagine it's not hard to buy people out of contracts, but luring someone from MotoGP is presumably harder)
Sponsorship?

Aren't they the smallest of the big 4 Japanese? it'd be a heck of diversion for them to run two full teams

Bradley Ray has been doing Japanese Superbikes as well (and did the 8-hour earlier in the year).

From what I have read it sounds like Suzuki is trying to keep him sweet, but don't know if they are doing these others things because they don't have a WSBK ride to offer him.
