You're right. Got myself confused. I was thinking about whether it made sense for everyone to go to Jerez and then Qatar for the race and thinking the CRTs woud probably rather just test at Qatar. That thought stuck with me and became fact in my head.

Damnit. I stared at the front caliper and rotor etc for ever, searching and searching, thinking "What on Earth is Cam talking about?".

But Nakajima did concede that Yamaha made significant progress in curbing their own chatter issue.
“Fortunately this time we don't have a big chatter problem, Jorge has just done a 2m 00.8sec [his best lap of the test]. I asked him about chatter. 'Nothing',” said Nakajima.

Could be an important point. Sounds like they are one step a head of everyone else, mind you Jorge's team have shown previously that they are good at finding solutions to tyre issues.

Nice shot of the pipes.

I often think that the pipe guys are the first to cry when somebody bins a bike.

Work of art.

If the press are to be belived.......the Dovi/Lorenzo thing will be just as, if not more intersting than the Lorenzo/Stoner battle (expected) for the title.

......that could all be media hype. They are basing it on the facts that all the Yammy 1000's will be virtually identical for the first part of the season ( I can see where they get that idea......but I don't really buy it), and that Dovi put in some really good times.

Hope it's as exciting a season as it promises to be.

But this is not the case as teh factory boys already have got updates tested at Sepang II that the Tech 3 haven´t got. Maybe they will get them for Qatar but I doubt they will have all the latest specs and updates.

With 4 lambda probes I think the M1 has a different map for each cylinder.

A lot of the Superbikes and all MotoGP bikes have had this for a while, as the temp diffs between inside/outside cycls (and front and rear banks on a V config) operate at slightly different temperatures, as you know.

And most efi tuning systems for road bikes have been doing it for a few years as well.
