Hi Advise wanted.

Post by Ribby 70 »

Hi My name's Libby i am an avid Lorenzo fan 8-) and i have been for 8 years. recently we had some spare cash :) and so i treated me and my hubby to Motogp at Silverstone, hoping i would see Jorge and maybe ask him to sign something. we went VIP , which gave us half an hour in the paddock each day, saturday ( the better day ) and sunday. well to say i was disappointed was an understatement :( , they were either so busy or so elusive there was no chance, he did whip past me on the moped but gone in a flash ... so my question is living in the UK are my chances of seeing Jorge, never mind a selfie, or anything being signed  , only going to be at day of champions next year or going to another MotoGP outside Europe where if you get the paddock tickets there are no time restrictions? Sorry if this is a dumb question but if you dont ask you will never know , someone may be able to help , thanks in advance.

Your best chance is either at Qatar, or Sepang, or Austin. The European rounds are always packed. Silverstone Day of Champions would also be good. But Qatar is very relaxed, quite an empty paddock, and Sepang is relaxed too. At Austin, they sell paddock tickets, which will get you into the paddock all day, I believe.

Either way, it isn't cheap. The cheapest way is to keep an eye on his Twitter feed to see when he is doing an event for a sponsor. Alpinestars do signings with riders, and some of the other sponsors do that too. Also, Yamaha take Lorenzo to events to do PR appearances. Or else there is the media event on the Wednesday before Silverstone, which is usually in London.
