As you may or may not know, the aim of MotoGPMatters.com is to turn into a professional MotoGP reporting operation. At the moment, the site is run entirely in my spare time, with a little help from volunteers.
For us to be able to make MotoGPMatters.com even better, we need more funds. And more funds means advertising. Despite receiving over 100,000 page views a month in the last two months, and 40,000 unique visits, the current advertising on the site is only generating small change, something which is a result of the advertising model being used.
So a new model is required. What we need are companies who are interested in advertising directly with us, rather than just through a general advertising system.
This is where you can help. I know that some of you work in the motorcycle industry in various capacities. If any of you believe that your company might benefit from reaching a global audience of MotoGP enthusiasts, then get in touch with the marketing department of your company, and point them our way. They can contact us either by PM through this forum, or by using the Contact form on the main site. We'll be glad to offer a part of the revenue generated this way as commission.
Some of you have already helped us out in this respect, for which we are deeply grateful. But it would be great if more people could also join their ranks.
If you don't think your company would be interested in helping out, or even if you don't want to help MotoGPMatters.com, then consider an alternative. If you love motorcycle racing, then contact your marketing department, and tell them about how popular the sport is. Tell them that MotoGP, WSBK and other forms of motorcycle racing are a relatively cheap way of reaching a global audience. If even just a couple of you succeed in persuading your companies to put money into motorcycle racing, in whatever form it might take, you will have helped the sport progress and improve.
Thanks for your attention.
