Re: 2018

I am sure one was caused by bezeci
But could be wrong
Martin is fast though and as someone once said it’s easier to get a fast guy to stop crashing than getting a slow guy to go fast.

Re: Would Team Suzuki in shape to fight for the top 5 in 201

Looking how slow they were compared to the ducati, they need more development for top end power
Think rins will get stronger but I think Mir will struggle
The bike does look stronger than the yam though

Re: Yamaha electronics problems?

Great ride by mav today.
Shame Marc was forced out as it would have been great to see them both race for the win
Maybe yamaha need to listen to him and follow his development not his team mates

Let’s see how the yamaha performs over the next 2 races but I think today was a fluke

Re: Yamaha electronics problems?

Is it only the engine that cannot be changed or engine and chassis I would have thought that yamaha could make new chassis/swingarm in time for the next few gp and use them as unofficial tests to see where they need to go next year This year is a loss for them anyway so why not push through new item...

Re: British superbike champion

I’d like to see Hickman win it but I don’t think he is in a strong enough team. Although maybe he will be with a different team next year I would also like to see Honda do better. Is the blade really that bad? I’m looking forward to see who fills all the seats this year and hopefully some new blood ...

Re: Yamaha electronics problems?

I don’t think it’s anything to do with traction control They have gone down the wrong development path ( just as Honda did last year) And now they need to concentrate on improving for next year I would have thought the new development team were up and running now. If not then they are not taking it ...

Re: 2018 round 16 - Motul Grand Prix of Japan

I am sure if asked Rossi would say he is not happy with being 6 seconds from the winner and 4th Mav would also be very disappointed with his result after thinking they had found a improvement in settings Next year cannot come soon enough for yamaha the next races should have some of the best racing ...

Re: 2018 round 16 - Motul Grand Prix of Japan

Despite hearing mav had found better setting for the yamaha they both failed to deliver again today Even the improvements from zarco failed to materialise in the race Great race to watch though. Shame Dovi binned it would have been a great last few corners Well done Marc. Clearly the best rider out ...

Re: State of world superbikes

The more variables there is on any bike the more it costs to employ people to get the most from it Does bsb have fly by wire or is that not permitted as I am sure they still have laptops coupled up to them on the grid. Should Kawasaki be penalised just because they are successful. A few years ago th...

Re: Yamaha electronics problems?

I am sure they are looking for solution but are they looking for a quick solution to try to cover up chassis issues or looking to change chassis/swingarm I think they need to go back to basics without any electronics to see where they are But there again I’m only a fan not a expert Sometimes enginee...

Re: State of world superbikes

Having watched BSB today and being critical of the new 3 race format in WSBK for next year maybe I am wrong as I looked forward to the BSB triple header so could be a good thing for WSBK I hope Honda come up with something for next year as both Kawasaki and ducati will have new models so the gap wil...

Re: Ducati V4

Really looking forward to seeing it in action I think it will prove to be a power house with the Desmo valve gear Smaller pistons will allow higher reving than the current twin and the gp bike beats all the other bikes even with pneumatic valve gear so against spring valves I think the difference wi...

Re: 2018

I just think this year is not a classic year for moto2. Might be that having changes will shake things up I think they do need a level of electronic aids to make the transition to MotoGP or any other categories easier Ktm seem intent on keeping a Steele frame but is that why they are inconsistent Is...

Re: Yamaha electronics problems?

I am no expert on electronics. But surely if a change in tyre as last week can make a difference to their speed it must surely be a mechanical grip issue so in my mind chassis and suspension Maybe because riders rely on electronics now it’s harder for them to diagnose other issues. I.e always lookin...

It’s a shame all the brits crash a lot but at least we have riders to cheer on in all the classes
Everybody loves a underdog
Can’t imagine having much interest if there’s no one from your country taking part
As the saying goes you’ve got to be in it to win it

Re: State of world superbikes

I watch all forms of motorcycle racing. Mx unfortunately for me has gone to much like super cross. Having outdoor tracks laid out with countless jumps mimicking super cross is not for me. Love watching super cross but the two should be different. Circuits like Namur should be brought back Trials is ...

Re: Yamaha electronics problems?

If it is electronics I would think both riders would be happy a solution has been found However using a different spec tyre for this week may be the difference and if it’s not available in Japan yamaha may well struggle again Even though yamaha showed better pace I still don’t think they could have ...

I was amazed to read Torres has quit the MV ride in wsbk
Although not the best bike it’s certainly as good as the next best after Kawasaki works team and ducati as shown by camier last year
Can’t see riding around at the back of MotoGP will do his career prospects any good
Unless the pay is better!

Unfortunately all the manufacturers have a speced up version made for racing which does spoil things slightly But race replica sales including superbike/super stock are falling so maybe a. Time to re assess what bikes are being raced The super stock class is being dropped from wsbk next year so mayb...

Re: Buriram PTT Thailand Round

Am I correct in saying that Avintia next year will be the only team with riders paying for their ride
Can understand wanting to be in MotoGP but would of thought they would be better concentrating their funds on the smaller bikes ( unless they make more money from MotoGP )
