Re: MotoGP R3 26-7-20 Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucía

Class by Fabio again. Pecco looked fantastic until the bike went (Franco looked good too). Vinales disappointed but good points. Rossi a massive turnaround from last week - interesting that he said he had to force Yamaha to allow him to make some changes and Lin Jarvis confirmed this was true in an ...

Re: Rossi could race for four more years

Is it adaption to new equipment? I think it plays a big part. Is it age? I think it plays a big part. Is it the strength of the competition? Well, nobody else has proven they can consistently beat Marc... yet. Is this specifically a 'Rossi' problem? Is it no Jerry Burgess to help sort out his bike?...

Re: Jerez 2020 - Gran Premio Red Bull de España

I hate to say it but perhaps Marc’s ambition outweighed even his prodigious amount of talent going after Maverick there in that spot. More seriously though, was his high-side just a simple matter of too much right wrist or could that have been an electronics malfunction?? Marc is one of the riders ...

Re: Rossi could race for four more years

Honestly, as a massive Rossi fan, I feel the latest iteration of MotoGP bikes may be one adaptation too far.

For me, it absolutely does not diminish his achievements one single bit, but I dont see him pulling a final rabbit from the hat now.

GOAT... for me yes 100%, but things move on.

Rossi has signed a 1+1 deal with Yamaha, but obviously in the Petronas Team with an M1 identical to Vinales and Quartararo.

If he does go to Aprillia it would be the fourth manufacturer he has ridden for. I can't think of any other rider who has done that.
Melandri did 5 I think...

Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Ducati and a short stint at Aprilia.

Re: Moto GP schedual and the corona virus...

Thanks Apical, I'll put the 2004 race on the bucket list to watch https://youtu.be/7mtxR8ATIXw I watched it last night actually - BT Sport are doing a series of best races ever and Welkom 2004 was the first one shown, but the episodes are nearly 4 hours long so I'm doing them bit by bit... wish I h...

By the looks of it we can write off the entire season. Stay safe everyone
If that's what it takes to keep more people safe, I'm cool with it.

I think it's all turned out to be much more serious than most anticipated...

MotoGP needs to watch and learn.
Hasn't the Dorna reaction been pretty good in comparison? What does MotoGP need to learn... it's all postponed until May isn't it?

Re: Moto GP schedual and the corona virus...

Another threat to the Austin round could come from an increased lockdown within Italy, where are the teams based? https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-08/coronavirus-italy-quarantine-milan-northern-regions/12037302 Yamaha are based in Lombardi where the lockdown will be. Ducati are outside the zone.

Excellent, decent turn out in the end!

No idea how the schedule changes will effect it, but it's the first year I've seen it done on the official site so we'll soon find out :D

Mine seems to appear twice too when I look at it... maybe it will make more sense when the points start scoring.

I know that in Fantasy Football, you can see each others teams AFTER each weekend... I assume to have that bit of mystery and not copying each other.

Re: MotoGP Fantasy

What you do is create a team and pick 2 riders and a manufacturer who will get you points based on their results, and you pick 2 riders who will get you 50% points based on your results. However, you have limited funds, so you can't pick Marc, Dovi, Fabio and Maverick. I assume if it's anything like...

Re: Sepang test 2020

Yamaha is still slow, but closer if you look at the 2020 bike Rossi and Vinales were on in comparison to the 2019 bikes.

The Aprilia has been helping itself to Ianonne's steroids by the looks of it... A Espargaro second on the top speed chart.

They were both on the 2019 bike today, going to the 2020 bike tomorrow.

Not suggesting that either of them aren't very fast, but they were likely dialled in really well from last year.

Reports suggest that Petronas Yanaha aren't interested in Rossi for 2021.

Maybe we could see more Yamaha's on the grid as there are technically a couple of unfilled grid slots due to Marc VDS leaving iirc... VR46 Yamaha with Rossi and Marini ;)

Marq's shoulder may heal well enough to race and pull off good times, but like hdot said, one freak spill and he's got a potential issue. He'll start off the season strong, but by August how will he be? There's going to be maximum pressure on him. Guess we'll find out. One freak spill for Quartarar...
