Re: 2018

Gresini obviously see something in Sam as they had him before And maybe Danny Kent is regretting turning down his chance to go to MotoGP instead of moto2 You would like to think in moto2 all bikes are equal but for whatever reason this does not seem the case The customer ktm is obviously below the f...

Scott Redding

Great to see Scott in the british series
Think it will do him good and being in possibly the top team allow him to get back to winning ways and enjoy himself

Re: Buriram PTT Thailand Round

I have no doubt Simeon is a good rider. As can be seen by a few good results in moto2 But is he one of the top 22 riders to be able to be in MotoGP in his own right. I don’t think so But the same also goes for a few others Rabat. Plenty quick enough but not really showing it in MotoGP. Yes he may be...

Re: State of world superbikes

I tend to look at super stock to see how competitive standard road bikes are And I can’t remember the last time I saw a Honda doing well with plenty of entries BMW always seem to go well on the circuits and the roads Dorna maybe need to see it as a feeder series to MotoGP to get some interest from S...

Re: Aprilia, what the hell ?

Next year aprilia will have some really quick qualifying time followed my below average race finishes Both riders can be quick for 1 lap but struggle to be constant for all races and tensions within the team will be very high I think they would have been better trying to set up a junior team in eith...

Re: State of world superbikes

I think Kawasaki are ahead and rea is definitely quite a lot better than the competition But more needs to be done to attract more teams and be more evenly competitive I am sure the Honda road bike is not that far away from the Kawasaki. And the BMW is very strong in super stock so surely some rules...

State of world superbikes

It’s sad to see on a bike racing forum that no interest is shown on yesterday’s crowning of a 4 time champ Perhaps it shows how far SBK has fallen What would spark people’s interest to get them involved and interested in SBK It can’t just be the domination by one rider as this has happened in all fo...

Re: MotoE

I personally can’t see electric bikes as the future of bike racing Until people can relate to them as road bikes which are useful and exciting to ride then they will only ever be viewed as a side show Great to see the technology on them but even on the IAM there are very few teams involved and getti...

Re: Aprilia, what the hell ?

Listening to Colin Edwards a few weeks ago explaining some of the issues when he rode for them,( logistics of parts supplies) could be one of the issues they are struggling with now and maybe having the parts funnel through the new test team before reaching to race team will enable the riders to con...

Re: Silly Season 2018

I seem to remember most of the past bsb champions ( mckenzie, Reynolds, Byrne etc.)came back from the world stage and did well I don’t see any reason Redding cannot do well if he is truly committed to riding in bsb Others have come back to bsb and regained enough confidence to return to the world st...

Re: Jorge Lorenzo

I struggle to see why wsbk ( or any superbike championship)is not seen as a feeder series
Most who have come from there have done quite well
Rea is fast enough to run at the front and after multiple world championships surely deserves a shot at MotoGP

Re: Valentino Rossi

Although not able to mount a constant challenge to Marquez ( who is?) he’s still one of the few who have won gp’s in last couple of years in the dry so is still good enough to be worthy of his seat
And almost everyone loves to see a older rider running at the front

Re: Silly Season 2018

I think Lorenzo is damaging to Ducati marketing. Seeing a multi world champion struggling on one of their bikes Doesn’t look good If they had a younger rider who pushed at the front then it would be better. Maybe move bagnaia into the works team. Of all the recent world champions in MotoGP I can onl...

Re: Silly Season 2018

If you Look at the standings Marc is clearly on for a great year But the battle behind is very close all the way down to dovi Any one of the others could easily finish runner up and if Marc slips up then the championship would open up Rossi was one of the greats but is still up there with all the ot...

Re: Silly Season 2018

Listening to interviews today it seems ducati are only looking at Miller and petruchi
Mir has 3 option for next year in MotoGP
Suzuki can afford to sit back and have their pick of riders
Parmac looking to Miller

Although it’s hard to imagine but looks like Lorenzo may be looking at early retirement

Re: Silly Season 2018

I think both Redding and smith are good riders but need a change of scenery to find their confidence and enthusiasm.
Both are still young enough to explore new challenges and maybe return to MotoGP at a later date.

Re: Silly Season 2018

I’d like to see a fair amount of changes throughout to give some others a chance to show if they can make it in MotoGP
Bring in a few more from Moto 2 and from world sbk
Maybe even from some national championships
Or maybe the mid order riders will end up being pay to ride which would be a shame

Re: Silly Season 2018

Listening to the gossip and adding 2 and 2 to make 5 I believe the following The reason cal is making noises about repsol Honda is that Honda are looking to sign Alex Marquez before anyone else. No satalite seat available unless cal is moved. ( either out of the Honda family with a nice pay off or i...

Re: 2018 Round 4: Gran Premio Red Bull de España

Only Marquez is going to beat Marquez. The most consistent rider by far He can be beaten but doing it every race is impossible. But he will make mistakes and someone needs the consistency to be near enough to put pressure on him when the mistakes are done Currently everyone one else is making more m...
