Re: Motegi Boycott

~~ Steady on lad. We need to let the Motegi issue simmer right now. If we can control it (not bring it to a head early) then we can blitz the riders and descenting fans at a time of our choosing , using our chosen media strike-force henchmen to initiate the PR operation most effectively. Re: Motegi Boycott

FIM/Dorna bought and paid for the Italian report. From what I can tell they didn’t even feel the need to host the report on an independent website. Regardless, it’s a FIM product: little more than a ‘sign of the cross’ and kowtow to FIM/Dorna’s bidding – but then we all understood that would be the ...

http://i55.tinypic.com/2q0m4hc.jpg I don't thinck it's a coincidence rear wheel, swingarm and front engine mount are in the same plane ;) Looking at that again - its NOT in a single plane, close-ish but no more. So it all may or may not be significant (as was always the case) and I am thinking prob...

Thanks for the link. It’s sad – Big Ben. It feels like the lamb was led to slaughter. I’m dumbfounded at his naiveté; his complete lack of … clue and scale of the bikes, while in the interviews. He comes off as clueless as a baby in a topless bar For me the best part of his weekend was when he gave ...

Can you give me any reason (without appeals to emotion or quoting poetry) why the above leads you to conclude that going to Motegi is any more dangerous, radiation-exposure-wise than going to, say, Laguna Seca? The fact that an estimated 5.2 million tera becquerels of cesium-137, cesium-134, and io...

I wonder what his opinion is now about going to Motegi? That’s not smart-ass rhetorical, I do wonder. I’ve had plenty of unexplained cancer in my immediat...

That one bit of red carpet looks about as useful as a one legged man in an arse kicking contest. That looks like turn-10. I’ve ridden through there a few times. I wish I had one of those - to judge the apex point at speed, when looking up once I realized I was going to hit my turn-in point.

Re: Motegi Boycott

So the Japan MotoGP event can’t take place at Suzuka because F1 is in conflict. How about the obvious next step, reschedule the MotoGP event at Suzuka when F1 is not in conflict. To me – my opinion – the extra distance to Suzuka is a needed concession to get the riders to un-entrench. And the seriou...

Re: Bostrom to ride LCR Honda at Laguna

The thing about Laguna Seca is it’s unique in America (I believe) in that it is entirely Parks Department owned land, and the racing is run by a non-profit. As such, they don’t really base certain decisions on “big money”, and they have severe restrictions on the number of days “full volume” events ...

I think the point here is that this is a lot like worrying about the cancer risk of the cigarette you are smoking as you plane is in an uncontrolled spin and heading for the ground. I think it’s more like not agreeing to be forced to smoke a cigarette in the smoking section of a restaurant you work...

Guardian article Valentino Rossi said last month: "[Jorge] Lorenzo said he didn't want to go. In fact I wouldn't go there either. ipso, I have also been fascinated by the slo-mo at this circuit. Is it bumpy and therefore more obvious or have I simply not noticed before? I am curious how this will effect his AMA/Jordan Motorsports commitment. Was Bostrom at the track this weekend? That's a good question. Laguna Se...
