Re: 2011 R9 Sachsenring Race Topic ** Spoilers**

Don't know if anyone else will find this interesting, but I have finally had a chance to see the times for FP3 (why they took so long to come up I don't know). The MotoGP.com site blows this weekend – FP3 in particular. I was not able to watch it live as their server kept terminating the connection...

Re: Schwantz interview. (MCN scan)

you stay there john big bootie, I'll go get me overthruster. "...It's BigbooTAYE, TAYE, TAYE!" I think the subculture is already right here in this very thread :) I'm not just talking deep analysis - I'm talking picking one single best performer on the weekend. MotM-O (off track). Colin's stage per...

Re: Schwantz interview. (MCN scan)

...To me though, the BEST interviews are with the current riders. It's tough on their time and it's tough not to give too much but also not to take the opportunity to get in a dig at their opposition but I would rather have some comment from them than total silence, eh? I say we create a subculture...

...BTW, does anyone actually care about the Google Earth crap I put up there? The images for this track aren't as good as some but I thought I should ask since it slows the page a bit. It took a fair bit of time working out how to get it to work in the forum but that was entirely driven by my own i...

Re: Schwantz interview. (MCN scan)

Frankly, I think Schwantz was ‘projecting’ when he brought up questionable IQ. Me being American, and as much as I really want to like and defend the guy, Schwantz’s comments over the last few years – the ones I’ve seen – have been less than brilliant. Front and center would be his reassertion above...

The Official MotoGP website lists the track length as 3.671km..why split hairs? http://www.motogp.com/en/events/Germany/2011 Rossi's qualifying deficit at Silverstone was...3.671 seconds.....curious coincidence or harbinger of doom? I don’t think it’s splitting hairs in the fuel efficiency ...

Two malformed predictions - the shame. SP - so often the eagle eye - good catch. Rats - since 807 is unchallenged, perhaps this simple change (poetic license granted, if you have something better in mind): Rossi does NOT grid 2 or more points better than Hayden, and thus does NOT overtake him in the...

Re: Stoner interview

I don’t see this one posted yet (but referenced heavily here, nonetheless; no doubt machinations from it’s origin.) I'm really a little surprised by this fixation with trying to find a rules package that has riders bunched up and passing and re-passing. I know it's "good for the show" but if that is...

Re: 2011 MotoGP Prediction Contest Round 8 - Mugello

I use betting here as a kind of race-shaping karma enhancement. My personal ‘riding style’ while watching races benefits from fine-tuning: +20 points here, -20 points there. These bets provide emotional smoothness during a race; to not be so concerned about this or that - focus. You’re perturbed tha...

Maybe Stoner was prophetic when he said (after winning a couple of races this year) that the Honda had not changing that much, and Lorenzo had been faster last year, and that Lorenzo should just ~“use last year’s bike”.

Re: additional rules. “Nooo” . Let them figure it out. It seems to me this is exactly the kind of thing that new rules aren’t good at anyway. Thanks for posting the pic L34 . apparently Ducati got their 1099 with aluminium front subframe right straight out off the box. I wonder if they ever considered making a aluminium front subframe for the GP-bike ? and what the results would be. I read here that they have already tested the aluminum v...
