British Riders and Spanish Quarantine

What happens with British riders, team members etc who were in Jerez yesterday? I take it they need to stay in mainland Europe to ensure presence at Brno

Re: Jerez 2020 - Gran Premio Red Bull de España

I like Nagashima too Fingernails, after Schwantz my next hero was Nori Haga and I always like to see a very strong Japanese rider.

Re: BSB 2020

Any idea why Leicester would spike ahead of cities similar or bigger in size, eg London, Birmingham, Manchester, Coventry?

You are right though, perhaps when we have the benefit of hindsight the easing of restrictions may become a regret. By the same token there may be no regrets.

Re: BSB 2020

Motorsport vision are saying spectators will be allowed at their tracks, as long as tickets are pre purchased. Well chuffed with that which means all rounds except Silverstone can be attended. Thinking about trying to get to both Donington rounds, Oulton and Brands to get my live racing fix this yea...

Like I said earlier I really rate Camier but if his shoulder still isn't right after all this time I fear for his career :(

Re: WSBK in 2020

To my mind Sykes shot himself in the foot by being over critical of Baz over the spill at Sepang that year, no wonder Baz didn't care about Sykes title after that.

Re: WSBK in 2020

I rate Leon Camier too, I think fully fit on the Duke may spring a surprise or too. Really admired Sykes when he turned the Kwak into a race winning bike and then the championship but I felt he came across poorly when him and Baz didn't get on well

I'm pretty optimistic it'll happen, perhaps without spectators though. Hopeful that by October the virus is losing the battle :D

BSB 2020

BSB starting in August, six rounds with three superbike races each weekend and no showdown. Organisers hoping to allow spectators so here's hoping I can make my annual pilgrimage to Brands Hatch in October :D

Re: 2020 road racing line up

Me too Mike, the crisis has scuppered every 40th birthday present I had. Ice speedway in Holland cancelled, NW200 cancelled, TT cancelled :( However, there is nobody to blame for this situation ( lets not get into any conspiracies about China!!!!!) and as long as the cancellation of these events is ...

Racing in Britain 2020

With today's media reports about the proposed length of social distancing I'd be surprised if any of us get to see live racing this year :( I fear that BSB might not happen at all and that WSB and Moto GP will be closed door affairs at best

Re: Qatar Moto2+3 2020-03-08

** Spoilers within ** I've seen a reasonably long highlights of the Moto2 race. It was a cracking race, with a number of new faces at the front. However, Roberts and Nagashima are both riders with considerable experience in Moto2. Why did they suddenly shine this time? Nagashima started to shine a ...

I read today clerk of the course Noel Johnston has resigned, he believes under the right management the race can continue and if that happens wouldn't rule out a return. Suggests to me he has no faith in the current management team

Re: Moto GP schedual and the corona virus...

Unless things settle quickly I think crowds are going to be low at the majority of rounds, obviously locals will still turn out but there would be no point in arranging a trip to any foreign meeting just now.

In answer to your question in the first paragraph, no I don't because I wasn't making reference to the situation in Iran. Is it just me or is there a complete over reaction to coronavirus? The BBC are reporting a death rate of between 1 and 2% and deaths are almost completely in the elderly cross section of the population, almost all of whom have underlying health conditions. Surely these people can be advised to stay ...
