Re: My take on MotoGP 2020 round 7, the Emilia-Romagna GP

Great review. I'm glad you picked up on Maverick's comments. They were surprising, disappointing and revealing all at once. And the paragraph on Quartararo's warning was insightful as well. Can't teams also use the pit boards for track limits warnings? Better safe than sorry. Does Ianonne own Aprili...

Re: Motogp 2020 and the Mental Game.

How is Rossi doing compared to 2019? Surely mental games are not a problem at all to him. Mir mentioned how things clicked once he scored his podium at Austria. There must be something about standing on the podium and looking down on others that helps build strength. Especially when it involved snat...

Right, Quartararo doesn’t have much momentum. Mir and Bagnaia actually have the most.

Re: 2020 world championship prediction

Barcelona had the huge Lorenzo wipe out last season which was the best he ever did to help Marquez win that title. I have tried to predict Barcelona in my head and see where the title battle will go, but it’s near impossible. KTM might dominate and squeeze the title battle even more. Or the wrong Du...

Re: 2020 world championship prediction

I still have Quartararo as the favourite. He is more consistent than Vinales and much better in Q than the Mir/Suzuki combo. Dovi is limited by his own form and the luck of others. Barcelona will be very interesting though. It has the longest straight of the season so far and there will be no way fo...

On the contrary, it validated Pol’s deffensive riding on shot tyres and shows limits are worth enforcing. Nobody else had problems.

Mir has to be perfect just to sniff the podium. Riders are lucky the Suzuki is not a great bike in qualifying.

My gut is telling me Quartararo will get it back on track. Mir will go into damage limitation and finish 5th.

Re: MotoGP R7 11/09 GP OCTO DI SAN MARINO E DELLA RIVIERA DI RIMINI

There is one rider who might be sneaking into Hayden-2006 territory right before our eyes; Mir. All of his finishes have been in the top 5 and he is the leading Suzuki more often than not. He’s right on the cusp of it.

I might have underestimated Peco. I hope he doesn’t crash so we can see how fast and consistent he can be.

And great race for Rossi.

Re: MotoGP R7 11/09 GP OCTO DI SAN MARINO E DELLA RIVIERA DI RIMINI

The MotoGP race was better than I expected. I’m happy for Franco, Quartararo might have more explosive speed, but FM is very very good and the win was perfectly deserved. We used to think Maverick struggled with a fuel tank. Maybe he just hasn’t learned to adapt to the Moto2 rubber. He better turn i...

Mav on pole is meaningless. There's an equal chance of him riding off into the sunset or finishing outside the top 10. The engines are def an X factor

Why couldn't MotoGP reschedule Mugello if F1 is there there this very weekend?

Also, will FQ get his bid back on track tnhis weekend?

Re: 2020 world championship prediction

I expect Quartararo to do much better at Misano and from then on Dovi and him will play yo-yo with the points lead. Which is why it's so hard for me to bet on Dovi. He will always be under the stress of desperately trying to catch up with no room for error. Which makes Quartararo's job a lot easier ...

Re: MotoGP R6 23-08 BMW M Grand Prix of Styria Red Bull Ring Spielberg

I am slightly underwhelmed by Dovi. He had the pace in all practice but seemed to hit a wall today. Did he run out of tyres after the red flag?

This is beginning to show shades of 2006. But who’s Hayden?

Re: MotoGP R6 23-08 BMW M Grand Prix of Styria Red Bull Ring Spielberg

So much to digest... Man, Maverick is a lucky unlucky man. Glad he’s fine. Gutted for Mir. But his day will come. His speed and racecraft are undeniable. Even on race two with old tyres he beat Dovi, not a small feat at the Red Bull Ring. Hell yeah Oliveira. He had one shot. Just one shot, and he to...

Re: My take on MotoGP 2020 round 4, the Austrian GP

I don't like the circuit either. My idea would be to turn right instead of left at the kink and build a new section which connect to what is turn 3 today. Something like a medium speed right left flick. It involves flattening some hills, but money isn't a problem to Red Bull. FIM and Dorna just need...

I'm seeing an inability to control emotion in Quartararo that I think will be an Achilles heel in a championship fight.
Where?
I saw him complain of the tyres, but not much else.
