Re: TT 2019

Called off the final race of the day, brilliant by the organisers in such challenging conditions to get 4 out of 5 races in today. No serious incidents either which is really good.

Re: TT 2019

Fair play to the organisers for sticking this out, just about to get the 4th race of the day to go. Dean Harrison and Peter Hickman haven't gone home as reported.

Re: TT 2019

Superbikes are out next, Dunlop, McGunness and Irwin are back out with Seeley, Rutter and Hillier. According to BBC Peter Hickman and Dean Harrison are packing up and going home. Best the conditions have been today.

Re: TT 2019

They got the 600 race in, I won't tell you who won though.

I'll be very surprised if any 1000cc machines get out in this weather though, possibly supertwins next.

Re: TT 2019

Seeley's bike blew up and dumped oil, the riders are saying despite the weather the grip levels around the rest of the track are very good but they're struggling with visibility, they do still have 4 and a half hours of the roads closed to fit some racing in but some of the riders like Glenn Irwin, ...

Re: TT 2019

NW200 boss Mervyn White must have done something wrong in a previous life, they've had a coolant spill, a helicopter hit some powerlines, they've had a power surge in the paddock and a telegraph pole caught fire. They running a sighting lap now to see if they can race this afternoon, still w...

Re: TT 2019

It's ridiculous that they're trying to run this event today, the weather's crap, the TV helicopter can't even fly, just call it off and come back next year, rider off already, luckily unhurt.

Re: TT 2019

Made up for Bonetti, that's a fella who doesn't even have a sponsor, also for Lee Johnston too, he's had a lot of bad luck over the last few years with injuries. I've always found the NW to be a bit of a crapshoot, you can get onto the straights in first place but due to the slipstream effect you ca...

Re: WSBK 2019

Interesting that Rea and Crutchlow both went via WSS - they are probably the most successful of the recent graduates Toseland went BSB-WSBK-MotoGP-WSBK Bradley Ray has gone Moto2 - BSS - BSB with a ride at Suzuka, so it wiill be interesting to see which way he goes I have to say that I think Scott ...

There's a lot of talk going around on social media that Michael Dunlop has quit Tyco BMW, he was down to race at Oulton Park today as well and was a no show.

Re: Scott Redding

I was surprised to hear Scott he had broken a thigh 4 weeks ago and still did ok No wonder he looked in pain after his come off I believe it was a pit bike accident which caused it. Also I'd like to introduce you to the podcast "Chasin' the racin'" by National Superstock rider Chrissy Rouse and roa...

Re: British superbike champion

I feel sorry for the BMW riders, they only got their bikes a week ago. Genuine top 5 championship position, race winning riders in Ellison and Hickman way down the order.

Re: British superbike champion

I'd love to see Hickman win it, unfortunately I just don't think his team have the budget, rapid rider on his day though, especially at Thruxton and Cadwell, his double podium at Thruxton last year showed his talent given that he spent the night before in hospital on a drip for a kidney infection.

Re: WSBK 2019

Bautista has definitely hit a sweet spot with that machine there's no doubt about it. I don't agree with the crowd you see on social media with the "This shows how much better MotoGP riders are" patter, Melandri has been in WSBK for some time and never had the level of dominance that Bautista has an...

Re: Autobiogs of racers

Jamie Whithams book is brilliant. Michael Dunlops book is a decent read, if a bit brash. McGuinness's was a good book. I enjoyed Guy Martins first book even if he is a marmite character. Phil McCallens book was enjoyable too. Also not an autobiography but David Jefferies bio was very well written wi...

Re: British superbike champion

The Ducati has been really good in testing - Redding has been really fast, quickest in a few of them, and boy is he letting everyone know about it. It looks like he is going to come out swinging, but I will reserve judgement until he comes to something like Knockhill or Cadwell on a wet morning, an...

Re: WSBK 2019

A while back, rea's manager was trying to shop him around the MotoGP paddock, including a direct approach to repsol Honda. Interest was zero then and it'd be negative now. I don't see why, he did well when he subbed for Stoner back in 2012, Crutchlow has had success in MotoGP and I never regarded h...

Re: WSBK 2019

I think Alvaro is showing us what he is capable of, he never really got a proper chance in GP's to stamp his mark as the best bikes were always tied up by the same riders every year so he had to make do in the satellite teams.
