Re: The Manx Grand Prix Volunteers

They are missing you bikerMike. They need more volunteers. Interesting isn't it there is always plenty of work for volunteers, sometimes not much support. I have been a flaggie in the past & it's good to get in for free. Marshalls get a bit closer to the action & see the racing from places ordinary...

Re: The Manx Grand Prix

Sadly I can't make it over this year I love the Manx GP, probably more than I love the TT as it's just that bit less crowded. I'm not overly keen on the Classic TT as I think it has made the Manx GP races themselves become a side show when it's their event. However I am a huge Bruce Anstey fan and l...

Re: Autobiogs of racers

Shane Byrne and Michael Rutter have both got books coming out sometime soon.

I'm looking forward to both of those, both very experienced riders who have raced in various series with varying degrees of success.

Re: Ulster Grand Prix(Spoilers)

He didn't do too badly on that one off ride in SBK the other week, 7th he got, qualified 4th. I wouldn't bet against him getting a point in a MotoGP race even though he's a bit tall for a MotoGP bike. He reminds me a lot of David Jefferies, he seems to ooze natural ability and just seems fast whatev...

Re: Ulster Grand Prix(Spoilers)

That's it, 7 starts and 7 wins for Hickman this week, 5 wins in a day, a new outright lap record, brilliant. Thursday results: Superbike Peter Hickman Dean Harrison Conor Cummins Lightweight Neil Kernohan Davy Morgan Paul Williams Ultra-lightweight Michal Dokoupil Christian Elkin Melissa Kennedy Sup...

Probably next season for the proper superbike engines, Tom Sykes has got a full superbike engine now but it's undergoing development still.

Re: British Superbikes 2019

Hickman is generally very quick at Thruxton, I don't think he's been off the podium there for a few years now.

Hickman also put on Twitter that he and all the other BMW riders are still using stock motors.

Re: British Superbikes 2019

The contract Shakey signed was a publishing deal for his autobiography, announced yesterday. Shakey still has a scan next month to determine whether his neck has healed sufficiently to return to racing.

Re: Suzuka 8 hour

What a crazy ending. I'm trying to figure it out, did Rea crash on the final lap? I guess I'll have to wait till I wake up in the morning to read the story I think there was about a minute or so remaining until the chequered flag, but as soon as he crashed they put a red flag out, I personally thin...

Re: British Superbikes 2019

Posted it on Twitter I think, though it could be a contract for a mortgage for all we know. Both BMW and Kawasaki having teething problems with their new machines this year it seems, Tyco BMW have had a nightmare month with Iddon and Farmer suffering leg breaks and Dunlop breaking his pelvis at the ...

Re: British Superbikes 2019

Redding says he’s trying to stay calm because he’s still learning the Pirelli tyres, the new bike and new tracks. Shakey Byrne hinted that he will struggle on bumpy Thruxton and maybe the tight and twisty Cadwell, but then the showdown is on tracks that Scott knows. Tax did indeed struggle to stay ...

Re: British Superbikes 2019

Yeah I think Hickman could snatch that 6th spot, the next 3 tracks they visit prior to the cut off are Thruxton, Cadwell and Oulton, historically tracks that Hickman is very strong at. I feel sorry for Peter, he always seems start a season on the back foot for some reason or another and then seems t...

Re: British Superbikes 2019

I must admit I thought he might struggle on some tracks but be there or there abouts in the overall championship because he has a good bike in the best team and is a quality rider, his MotoGP results don't tell the full story of his talent as he was generally on second or third rate equipment and I'...

Peter Hickman is standing in for Markus Reiterberger at Donington Park this weekend, already in the top 10 in FP1, not bad for a first outing on world spec bike at short notice. 8-)

Re: WSBK 2019

Another weekend like this one and Rea will be in the lead. At the beginning of the season it looked as if Bautista would utterly dominate. If I had to make a bet as to who will win the season now, I'd put my money on Rea. I'm going to have to learn how to spell Razgatlioglu. Brilliant race and he k...
