I note that of the seven times that Aleix Espargaro has finished this year, four of those times he beat Maverick.

I wonder if this has had some effect on Maverick's decision.
well noted, I never even thought of that

Re: Silly Season

If promoting Fernandez to MotoGP is what it takes to keep him, KTM should not think twice about doing it. Ideally he'd stay for another year and win the title, but it's not worth letting Yamaha snatch him because of Moto2.

Re: Round 9 Dutch TT (Assen)

Too bad we missed Fabio vs Maverick, but it was still a nice race. And the result paints a fair picture of things, Fabio is just as fast and much more opportunistic than Maverick. Without some incredible randomness at Jerez and Barcelona, we'd be calculating which weekend would have the title decide...

Do you guys think a win at Assen means more than a win at other tracks and guys might be more aggressive?

Re: Round 9 Dutch TT (Assen)

I hope the left and right directions changes favor Zarco. It would be good if he clawed back some points on Quartararo, but I won't mind it if he wins or does well. Oliveira doing well would obviously be interesting for the title fight. My blind bet is Quartaro, Zarco, Oliveira. My ideal podium for ...

Re: Silly Season

Maybe Yamaha and Suzuki should do a straight up swap between Rins and Maverick. Except Rins would get Rossi's bike and Franco would be promoted.

Re: Round 8 - German GP (Sachsenring)

Random drop: Aprilia should be shopping for 2 riders. I don’t think Aleix had the ‘zen’ in him help them take the next step. Wow. I would have thought Aleix and the Aprilia were looking like a good team. And that Aleix would be a good candidate to take the bike forward to podiums and possible wins....

If Marc never recovers HRC will need 3 to 5 years and another alien to recover and resemble their best self.

Did Fabio eat up his tyres trying to fight back and get to the lead? I expected him to have an easy time once he hit the front.

That was a boring qualifying. All this tow seeking is ruining it. I'd rather see riders alone get one fast lap only and nothing else.

Re: Round 6 - Gran Premio d'Italia Oakley (Mugello)

I think HRC are in trouble and Marquez is less than fine, which means there is no way to make up for it. 2021 is a wash and they might as well treat it as an imense test session for 2022. On the other hand, it's nice to see Franco end the day so close to the top and perhaps there will be a large fig...

Re: Round 6 - Gran Premio d'Italia Oakley (Mugello)

I'm not against a wet race, but I fear at Mugello it might just spread the field out too much. I think a dry race would make it more interesting in the Yamahas vs Ducatis battles.

Re: Round 6 - Gran Premio d'Italia Oakley (Mugello)

Assuming it'll be a weekend of regular warm weather (I haven't check predictions at all), my bet is on a repeat of Qatar with Yamahas and Ducatis fighting it out while the Suzukis desperately try to hold on. So Quartararo is my favourite with Bagnaia being the closest challenger to keep the traditio...
