Re: Forum updated - new style to be built soon

It no longer appears to be working with the tapatalk phone app.
Do you know if that will be functional again at some point?

Re: Hubris

I don't see what choice Honda has. Marquez is the goose laying championship eggs, and HRC have to do whatever it takes to keep him. Everyone knows he could win at another manufacturer. And by giving him more power they've just come off the biggest rider points haul in the history of the championshi...

Re: Hubris

"They don't need the rest whilst they have the best." Then why waste everyone else's time? Repsol Honda doesn't need any other riders. The simple point is who else can do what MM can on the bike? He is getting the results because of his ability. It is therefore his needs that are addressed. I don't...

Re: Hubris

Honda will need another rider. As said Honda have resources and engineering ability. They will be able to produce what is needed again imo. This is the meat of the issue. With the way Marquez has to ride that bike, they may need a new rider sooner than you think. And it's likely that rider won't be...

Re: Hubris

--- HRC are too good for their own good, but they are THAT good. Doohan, Rossi, Stoner, Marquez. They get the best riders sooner or later and the best riders master their bike. Spencer and Lawson too. I remember the season Lawson won. He got there but it wasn't easy. https://www.roadracingworld.com...

Re: Hubris

6 titles out of the last 7 it is working. He is such a good rider that it is hard to lose him and take an alternative direction. To let him go to an alternative manufacturer would be a very risky alternative. Simple fact is he is the best rider in the field at the moment so he gets what he needs. Sw...

Re: Sepang test 2020

I you guys aren't following @Anna_Maria_09 on twitter, give her a look. She crunches the data and creates charts like this: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49511678537_711a80b501_o.png That chart illustrates how brutally deceptive it is to focus on who's got the fastest lap. On combined times, ...

Re: Sepang test 2020

Can't wait to see Fab on the new bike. How well/quickly will he be able to sort it and be fast? Read that crash story on MM's shoulder. Absence of pain seems a good thing and it is improving. I thought it was encouraging. Don't doubt he has worked hard, but not too crazy concerned for the season. Lo...

Prefer single supplier and no special tyres personally.
I want the rider and bike package to decide the result.
Tyres and the difference between brands are another variable I would rather avoid.

Re: Silly Season

Personally I don’t think the shoulder is as big of an issue as some people believe, other than it hindering his testing. I’ve had a shoulder reco and I don’t believe it will effect (affect? I can never remember) his ability to ride a bike even if not as good as new. Honda do need to sort their fron...

Re: Silly Season

Well at almost 41 he has stayed on well past most. Yamaha have signed who they had to but have left him an option. The other thing they have to do is provide more straight line speed. Should be a good season if they can. Can't wait for the off season to be over https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200...

Not seeing that much in it.
Still a shoulder reco so still a fairly major procedure.
It will still take time to heal completely.
You expect the connective tissue has had a similar level of insult.

^^Really? This is the same bloke who missed testing because he was more concerned about his looks than his job.
I'd say steroids for the purpose of enhancing his looks is a far more plausible scenario.

Move him on to the Twittersphere and get someone on that bike who values the opportunity.

It was good thanks. Shizen those F1 things, despite being (imo) comparitively boring to watch in a race format, are bloody fast. So much more rubber. It looks like they accelerate, brake and of course, corner quite a bit faster [emoji44] Both looked pretty impressive on the other's machine consideri...

Re: Will Marquez become the greatest racer of all Time?

That ability to make the bike do things it doesn't want to, to push it over the limit and ride through whatever the bike does, is flamboyant and unpredictable to watch.
It is also what helps him achieve results and win or place highly when the package shouldn't allow it.

Re: Will Marquez become the greatest racer of all Time?

Fair point, but to continue with those two riders, Jorge tended to need the right set up and track/bike to be fast. MM uses thar ability to slide both ends to be fast everywhere. He can ride around the bikes limitations in a manner Jorge couldn't imo. He certainly doesn't need the right conditions t...

Who would know what he is really like? We form opinions from what we read in a press that thrives on controversy and outrage. You would expect there aren't many chances left in any case so he better make it work. Agree with Vmax. If he goes alright the bike looks good. If he doesn't he is a dud rock...
