I wish for his full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with Dennis the family. Never good when the bike makes contact with the rider.

Re: MOTM - Jerez 2015

MotM - Lorenzo, without doubt. He took the lead, metronomed it as only he can do and thus took the win. He's incredible when he finds the zone. HM - Jonas Folger, he's made some serious strides. Contender for sure. HM2 - Rins fought and rode hard. Danny Kent, can they catch up? Then keep up? He's s...

Re: Jorgé Lorenzo 2015. (And beyond?)

I'd put him onto the Suzi before I would the Honda. Both Espargaro & Vinales have commented that the bike handles extremely well and it appears that way on TV. Give that bike some power and there could be some actual fighting amongst all the factories for wins in the next few years. The Duc isn't as...

Re: MOTM, Argentina 2015.

I know you know the rules, but if people stop viewing Honda as the big bad factory, you can see that clearly they have advantages and to me that brings an asterix. It's hard for some to stop seeing Honda as the big bad factory because they do it so well. They are by far the wealthiest of any of the...

Re: Cameron Beaubier

AMA SBK to Moto2 is a terrible idea. Moto2 is a really tough class, easy to get lost and lose confidence. AMA - WSBK - MotoGP is a much better route. I agree, I'd rather see the step to WSBK over Moto2. After what both Beaubier and Gagne have done, that would be the more logical choice. Cameron won...

Welcome back , Mick... Thanks, it's good to be back. Hopefully life won't interfere again and I'll be able to stick around. As for Cal, I've always liked him just because he says what he feels and doesn't give a damn what others think of that. I can appreciate that as I've been told in the past tha...

Re: MotoGP 2015, Round 3, Argentina. Will the real Lorenzo

A great race with battles throughout To stay with the thread title I think that most of Lorenzo's issue has to do with the lack of edge grip form the BS tires. Lorenzo has always been known for his outright corner speed. Now, it just isn't there and he is struggling to find something to help get fas...

Re: MOTM, Argentina 2015.

MotM - Without doubt, it's Rossi. So many had written him off and openly suggested he should just go away. He's using all those years of experience and has obviously adjusted his riding style to suit the bikes of today. HM - Dovi. Mr consistent and doesn't get easily flustered into making dumb mist...

Re: Honda announce Pedrosa replacement.

So far this year it's been the same top riders from each mfgr so currently the mfgr championship is a direct reflection of the riders championship. Honda would need someone who can beat yahmahas and Ducatis best riders. And thus another reason where I think Casey would have been a much better choic...

Re: Cameron Beaubier

I think that Cameron is indeed a talent to keep an eye on. He did well in the Red Bull Rookies but didn't tear it up in the CEV or 125GP series but I think that was partly down to equipment. Although Cameron wouldn't say that. He's a local guy (northern California) that I've watched over the years. ...

Re: Honda announce Pedrosa replacement.

One thing that I think is being forgotten in this discussion is the manufacturers championship. With Ducati now also battling for podiums and wins, it's not a given that Honda will have 2 bikes on the podium or even in the top 5-6. While having the world championship is important, having that manufa...

Re: Honda announce Pedrosa replacement.

Honda should be embarrassed to have a factory bike back so far in the finishing order. 11th from 18 finishers. Hayden and Miller weren't that far back from Aoyama and they are on bikes that are far from being anywhere near the front or competitve. Pretty sad when even the Suzuki can beat him with a ...

Re: 2012 Round 13 Misano Race Topic ***Spoilers***

An interesting "Qualifying" session. An hour to figure out a setup and then get in some good laps for qualifying. It's very hard to say what tomorrow will bring, I think morning warm up in a few hours might tell us more than usual about who might have "hit it" and who didn't. I'll take a stab at it...

Re: Adaptable Rossi Revisit

It's more than the bike. Perhaps it's a post fracture vulnerability. Perhaps its age and wisdom. Perhaps its new riders who have created self doubt in his supremacy. Perhaps its now the added loss of a friend and protege. The Rossi of old would have pushed to a front row start, to a pole, to a win ...

Re: 2012 MotoGP Round 1 - Qatar

Interesting first FP for the year. Spies, Stoner, Lorenzo and Crutchlow were all changing places at the top for quite a bit of the session. Tomorrow night will probably be much more accurate as the track should have less sand on it then. I don't think the Yamahas have the disadvantage they had last...
