Re: MotoGP 2021, Aragon. Win or bin, which Marquez will show up?

Amazing race. Great result and ride by Bagnaia. Another feather in the cap for VR46 academy as well. The way he handled that Ducati was magic. Immense confidence on front braking while leaned over holding his line. I’ve never seen that from that bike. Rest of field very tight as well. All 20 finishi...

Re: MotoGP 2021, Aragon. Win or bin, which Marquez will show up?

I totally missed this thread was for this race and not just a Marquez centered one:) It’s great very tight field. It might take some time to rubber in for the corner speed styles to pick up. Intresting was for Aprillia Espargaro making the hard front work, Vinales yet to go there running the medium ...

Re: Silly Season

Fair comment, but something happened at Yamaha. Think about how he went in the first 5-6 races for them. I feel like Yamaha made a mountain out of a molehill with the over revving of the engine thing to experiment with potential riders for next year. I've always owned and love Yamaha's but I hope M...

Re: Will Marquez become the greatest racer of all Time?

It has taken a long time, longer than it should’ve been. A consequence of going too fast and the complications as a result have had the reaction of pendulum swinging too far the other way. Various stakeholders involved on a four year precovid money factory contract may have factored in too making fo...

Re: World SBK in 2021

Great races all around. SSP also was very good both races. Rea was there, Toprak was just that bit further ahead on him. Interesting how cordial and accommodating to Toprak Rea has been. Taking him under his wing as a mentor when teammates is one thing, still walking the track together and discussin...

Great race there. There may not have been much of a fight for the win, but the podium fight was much more interesting….[snip]… Agree. Great race for Aprilla and both Espargaros. Loved to see Alex celebrate with family afterwards. He held a great defense and did so admirably and confidently w/o pani...

Re: British Minibike racing

Go for it. Even for yourself racing minis is more fun and much cheaper. Look up bikes like Ovahle or NSF100 or NSR/YSR50’s. If you’ve got kids, get them a dirt bike or electric scooter to play with while you scope out getting them on the Kart track with the mini road racer :)

Re: Michelin, destroyer of dreams?

Michellins do have a narrow range. Always have. Function of their DNA, softer carcasses means more flex and heat in the rubber compound. So depending on ambient weather, track temps, riders usage, bike setup etc, even if your following others in pack too much too closely, can effect the temperature ...

Dovi to Yamaha, I'll bet thats a waste of time,he needs a bike with 50 hp more to just stay in touch....prove me wrong ? Surprised he got the ride with all the keen young talent around ?????????????????? Tech3 raced yamahas for 20 years in GP. Dovi raced with them one season. He finished 4th in the...

Re: Silly Season

Being at back of MotoGP grid pays better than front of WSBK for the teams and riders for that matter. And for an independent to be in motogp is huge. It means millions of euros in subsidy from DORNA ontop of your own sponsorship. For Aprilla it’s meant something of a free ride to be categorized as a...

Re: World SBK in 2021

Looks to me like Rae has run out of motorcycle and is having to over ride it to compensate for the not granted 500 revs. I would love to know what Yamaha have done to the R1to make it so good so often, and not just for Toprak. Toprak is a real talent, looking a much more complete rider than his spe...

Some pretty good action lately. Thanks for pointing out can view some of the races with just signing up. Been watching last few rounds. Getting good. As said top three making a break for it but all are tight on points and many races left.

Triples and twins are already allowed in WSS… just not 955cc twins! That article was more about Ducati and their recipe for success in production racing… Get the rules to allow you to bring a gun to a knife fight :) Times will change but for now you can enjoy some really dicey action in the R6 cup f...

Agree, I don’t see the chances being better for another couple years. Rea may just be making noise but I think he’d go for it at this point. Really would be good to see for the WSBK series as well. The connection seems more broken now under Dorna than it was under competition.

Re: Round 11 - Austrian GP

Was a great race even before the rain. Amazing result for KTM here. FQ was riding very aggressive and doing things the Yamaha just is not know for. It’s been said to be a bike that goes slower the harder you push it but he seems to find a way around that stereotype. Marquez also looked strong again....

Re: Valentino Rossi announces retirement

For me it’s what he has done, and is doing, with his riders academy that makes him exceptionally special. Really putting money back into the sport in a King Kenny kind of way to develop the next wave of riders. Something we are already seeing effects of. Also looking fwd to him taking the team bike ...

“Willing to destroy his bike on track” is taking it a bit too far and drinking from the blue koolaid. :) To me this smells like a Lin Jarvis move to clear the way. I can’t blame him he’s been gift wrapped the reasons and the noise from Vinales dad it is not worth keeping him for rest of contract. Sa...

Man.. don't get me started on Ogura and the Moto2 race. I'm gradually being turned against the green run-off penalisation rules as it now impacting the racing, it actually ruined the end of that race as that was lining up for a race for the win. Don't know what the alternative is (and I sure as hel...

Good spot. Im of the opinion he got uncomfortable with his chest protector and took it out. Even without the Velcro there i don’t see it coming down all the way as it did. But that said there are few comparisons for the degree to which he rides stretching his arms and leathers tight across his chest...

Fantastic race by Olivera. His consistency unmatched down the order even by those not running the pace he was. Looked really good and answered back pass once caught. Really strong performance. Zarco made a good run as well. Fastest lap of race. Managed his tires for a push at the end. Pulled up on p...

I wonder at what point Suzuki bite on experienced rider.. last time they had issues with different styles and feedback, can’t pay the guy and also not listen to him kind of thing. Without Davide Brivio now I don’t see who they will partner to pluck out from pipeline of youth going to other factories...

Yamaha opening up on top before track rubbered in… could be a sign if things if they could have enough of them up there to break the chasers draft on leader. Also worth to keep that eye on Suzuki too.

Though previous year results in a wet race may again match this years weather.. :) Ducati had never won here before but always did better in rain relative to others. With rain last year they got that win. As you’d expect life on the edge of corner speed drops. Rins made a good run at it for Suzuki b...
