Re: Round 9 Dutch TT (Assen)

on start was Vinales was way late on getting his leg back on to upshift. When went back to look saw only two riders yet to get that left foot back on that late. The other rider was Rossi.. Need to short shift these monsters and let'um eat asphault. https://i.postimg.cc/s2RV7JrG/assen-start-lg.jpg

Re: Round 7 - Barcelona

Good spot. Im of the opinion he got uncomfortable with his chest protector and took it out. Even without the Velcro there i don’t see it coming down all the way as it did. But that said there are few comparisons for the degree to which he rides stretching his arms and leathers tight across his chest...

Re: Round 7 - Barcelona

Fantastic race by Olivera. His consistency unmatched down the order even by those not running the pace he was. Looked really good and answered back pass once caught. Really strong performance. Zarco made a good run as well. Fastest lap of race. Managed his tires for a push at the end. Pulled up on p...

Re: Should Suzuki get Morbidelli and drop Rins?

I wonder at what point Suzuki bite on experienced rider.. last time they had issues with different styles and feedback, can’t pay the guy and also not listen to him kind of thing. Without Davide Brivio now I don’t see who they will partner to pluck out from pipeline of youth going to other factories...

Re: Round 6 - Gran Premio d'Italia Oakley (Mugello)

Yamaha opening up on top before track rubbered in… could be a sign if things if they could have enough of them up there to break the chasers draft on leader. Also worth to keep that eye on Suzuki too.

Re: SHARK Grand Prix de France - rd.5

Though previous year results in a wet race may again match this years weather.. :) Ducati had never won here before but always did better in rain relative to others. With rain last year they got that win. As you’d expect life on the edge of corner speed drops. Rins made a good run at it for Suzuki b...

SHARK Grand Prix de France - rd.5

So much went down last race we’ve all been left speechless :) but in case you missed it, definitely must to go back and watch as prerequisite for this weekends racing. What does France have in store for us? A Yamaha rebound on the cards, Suzuki to stop playing horseshoes and pickup corn hole finally...

Re: Grande Prémio 888 de Portugal - Rd 3

Great Moto2 and Moto3 races... just finished them. Have to say Moto2 was really good. Roberts looked good but Raul Fernendez and Remy were better. The passes back and forth with Canet and company were smooth and precise. When remy rubbed and nudged his way passed I was thinking Roberts was going to ...

Re: Grande Prémio 888 de Portugal - Rd 3

I think that was Nakagami. Not sure what happened but came off at end of front straight. Strange. Looking at FP3 times, Quart absolutely killed it, he starts out on a 15lap old rear and then puts another 10 on it ending at race distance running mid -low 1:40’s. All in a tight Lorenzo like string. Hi...

Re: Silly Season

I was underwhelmed by reading Dovi’s Aprilla test comments. Sure I don’t expect much but to talk about rider position... heck club racers around the world get that stuff sorted before towing their bikes 3 hours to the track.... Also his remarks about not wanting to fill in for an injuried rider but ...

Re: TISSOT Grand Prix of Doha - Rd.2

The engine homologation is an honor system. There are not any checks. It is upheld only by threat of strick enforcement that any non conforming engines would be penalized each time where it was used at an event retroactively. The rub with last years yamaha thing was that that did not occur. It becam...

Re: Marquez 2021

He’s also not mentally fatigued by a month in Qatar that seems to have weighed on many. So he’ll be that much more ready to go and won’t have to leave Europe til end of season (if those happen). 40 points down on a Ducati, 36 down on both factory Yamahas, and 26 or less on the rest. Not bad at all.

Re: TISSOT Grand Prix of Doha - Rd.2

Great race. Martin looked awesome. The way he hanged off the bike and was super smooth. Made the tire last. Agree Zarco was covering his 6 and was his wingman. Martin had only 11th quickest lap time and Qaurt had 7th quickest laps. Showing they were more consistent than many others. For example Bagn...

Re: TISSOT Grand Prix of Doha - Rd.2

What surprised me about having 2 races at the same track a week apart was how much variation there was in the result, Yep I’m gonna miss this.. I’d say it’s the diff btwn racing same/next day to the next weekend which gives time for people to make adjustments and regroup. As is biggest teams with b...

TISSOT Grand Prix of Doha - Rd.2

Another crack at bat for our first and what may be our only double header of the year. With the strategies pretty clear for all the teams and riders , their cards are on the table, so it comes down to who can execute that plan among the top runners. Like before the ducatis will look to become a gang...

Vale is definelty in striking distance. Noticing with Ducati, just about all their riders, have crashed loosing the front applying throttle mid corner pick up point. It looks like rear overpowering a light front as get on the gas. First was Miller, and Zarco dropping it at turn 4 in early FP session...

Re: Barwa Grand Prix of Qatar - Round 1

Qualifying should see the inlines do well. Race they will need to make a clean get away but I can see them getting stuffed and not able to break away. The long front straight will get them reeled in but rest of track is flowing. Lorenzo used to put on a clinic here year after year for being quickest...

The bandit is on bigger size. I took some time warming up to it. Im 5’10-11” 200lbs to move around and once moving a lot of that weight disappears but is felt moving it around the garage etc. Thinking about another option that would put you closer in performance size power weight to your Zxr400 woul...

Re: Suggestions for a new bike

I really enjoy my Suzuki Bandit. I have the 1200, but look up the 1250 of you’d like fuel injected. They go by GSF1200 or 1250 and come pretty cheap. Best bang for buck factor. They also come in smaller 600/650 cc but if taking a passenger I think you’ll find the larger 1200’s better suited. The bik...

Barwa Grand Prix of Qatar - Round 1

Ready to go racing and feels like we start right where left off. A toss up of contenders.

A feeling of urgency of a still somewhat uncertain schedule and latest news of Marq, we get to pick up where left off.

So who’s it going to be

I can definitely see him racing in Qatar. If it’s a shake down race one and then full bore second race or hit it right from start is my only question. I lm actually thinking, only half jokingly, that Marquez may very well come out of this ambidextrous and Honda will mount a twist grip on the left ba...

I too am very curious to see and hear his remarks. Wild card will be if it’s got stability under braking Dovi needs / prefers.. If he can get ...

Re: Is Valentino Rossi finished?

I personally feel that wins are unlikely at his age, but IMHO he might have fared a bit better towards the end of his career - at least it would have been a bit less rocky - had he retained the services of Burgess. Just last season he was fighting for the win at Catalunya and crashed out of 2nd pla...
